damn, carter, that's the freaking crap i've been talking about. throw the damn ball away instead of throwing it to a player that far away from the sideline.. cost the cowboys three damn points...you're a freaking mental midget when it comes to football common sense

Which play are you referring to? The one where he hit Terry Glenn which would have ended the half wihtout a FG attempt? It was not a good play. it would have been a good play earlier in the game, but not in that situation.

It was a bad play but it didn't cost us any points. There was a penalty on the play.

Wow, the Rangers are winning?
Good first half, except for that last drive. Really interesting to see if they're going to come out & give it all back.

Fortunately. But the decision is suspect. Had there not been a hold, we would not have had the chance at a FG Attempt.

i can imagine that it gets pretty tough to keep it between the uprights once you get that far away.. you have to put so much leg into it, that you have to lose some control..but i'm impressed with the leg..he didn't show that last year

I think you could put Tony Dixon in that bunch. With Roy out there he kind of takes the spotlight away from him but if you look closely he makes some nice plays. Earlier he had a nice hit on Shockey. He isn't as good as Roy but I think he is nice to have as a backup.

The TV showed some of those weird stats. The last two times that the Boys led the Giants by 13 or more at the half, we lost both games (and we didn't score in the second half either game).

well, it likely did.. cundiff would likely make a FG from 44..but a 54 yarder isn't likely at all..
so, i know you can't assume that cundiff would make the 44 yarder, but the odds are definitely with him

Ummm no. That play by Carter wasn't bad nor good but it doesn't matter because there was a penalty on the play. If Glenn doesn't get that catch that is even more yards back to kick the field goal.

There would have been a penalty regardless of whether Carter threw that pass, a throwaway, or a touchdown bomb. The penalty yardage was going to assessed because the Giants would want to make the field goal attempt more difficult.

RE: Cowboys at Giants Gameday thread
all quincy does is throw the ball, according to the routes ran. he threw it, its the wide recievers job to get out of bounce. and it was a penalty on the play anyway, so whats it matter? if anyone cost the team points it be whoever controls the clock mngmt or larry allen who was called for the penalty. but the play i was referring to was on the screen, he couldve thrown it right to anderson and had him stopped burning time and gaining nothing. instead he threw it at his feet, good play imo

The penalty would've still been called regardless.

good point mffl...sorry about that...horrible decision by carter..but, even if he wouldn't have screwed up on the play, there was the holding.
so, screw the line and carter on that play

The offensive line has really stepped up in the first half, the way the Giants were attacking the Rams , you'd think the Giants Defensive line was unstoppable.

I see what you are saying, but there is no way that Qspare could have known about the penalty. He made a decision to throw the ball to a player that couldn't get out of bounds in all likelihood and had that been the case, it would have cost us a FG attempt. So it was a bad decision by the quarterback.

Fine hes not playing like a probowler but he is managing the game. I swear you guys are the most negative guys on the planet. We are winning and you are acting like its not supposed to happen. Trust in Big Bill he will get us to the promise land eventually.

The bad part is stamina is about to occur for both teams. Barber and Shockey have yet to break loose. You would think they will pull it off in this 3rd quarter.
