It's early in each of the games, but it's fun to see San Antonio and Phoenix behind and Boston tied with Atlanta.

Don't look now, but the stupid Suns have almost eaten up all of the deficit before half-time... And in other news, Ray Felton, star of every one of my fantasy teams looks slower and hobbled by the injured ankle/knee that Steve Nash gave him with that darned intentional looking trip the other day...

Suns come back to win. Miami sucks.
Spurs win in NO as well. They started off slow but came alive and never looked back.

I came away very impressed........

I was extremely impressed by Yi in the summer league. His game is nowhere near NBA ready yet, but that cat is silky smooth. His game will carry him a long way once he figures out the difference in the NBA game. He has certain elements that are unguardable.

The sucker is darned good at blocking small forwards from behind after they drive around him, he only takes shots he can make, and he hits his free-throws, and that's why I recently picked him up on whatever fantasy teams I could...

Eddy Curry played 35 minutes tonight and was able to haul down a grand total of three rebounds, whilst in the process of helping his Knicks lose to Orlando, 112-102...

Yi is crazy athletic and has a soft touch, too. Del Harris called him the most athletic 7-0er in the league.
Durant will still be ROY but Yi might be #2.

jesus man
11-10-2007
pacers vs nuggets
pacers have scored 74 first half points!
tinsley looks good. real good.
suns vs magic
black jesus is looking good as usual
dwight howard has a double double, but has missed like the last 10 easy buckets.
grant hill has shot like 8 3 pointers and missed all of them, whenever he touches the ball, the crowd boos him.
steve nash, is looking freaking good. He has all these crazy passes.
That's all i got thus far..i am loving this nba league pass.

As we all know, JET has been shooting the ball really well this season
56.8% FG (46-81)
53.6% 3 pointers (15-28)
88.9% FT (24-27)
Look at Nash
59.2% FG (61-103)
59.4% 3 pointers (19-32)
100% FT (19-19)
All without the services of Amare, what a special player this Canadian is.

rockets barely won tonight. shot like .
yao was a beast though. 34 pts, 13/15 FG, 8/8 FT, 8 rb, 4 asst, 3 blk
bobcats are super athletic they just dont have great basketball talent. they also have poor coaching and low basketball IQ.
hornets win with a balanced attack
wizards finally won... hope arenas doesnt start talking trash again.
and in other news my big toe nail that i broke back in june finally fell off today!

Grrr. I believe the Bucks are the only team to have a winning record against the Spurs in the Duncan era and was hoping it would continue to haunt them. No such luck as the Spurs are taking it to them and lead by almost 30 at the half.

Rockets won a nice won today. T-Mac and Yao are the two reason why we won this game. The Bobcats fought hard though, but that arena was stunned at the end.

the rockets bench played horribly. they shot a combined 4-16 from the field. yao had an impressive game besides his 6 turnovers.

I'm not worried about Duncan. It's Parker that is killing everyone. Him and Ginobli off the bench have been freaks this year.

you guys see Rudy Gay's monster dunk on Scola? http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=271113029
rockets back court couldn't hit a shot to save their lives... except Tmac. wonder if francis will see any time if Rafer/James keep bricking them.

"I still go through it in my head," Nowitzki said. "One of my last nights in Germany [last month], I was trying to go to sleep, but I couldn't. I was thinking about the free throw I missed [late in Game 3], about different situations that happened in that series. I'll never forget it. It's going to stay in my mind until we win it all."

i hate the city of houston as much as the next reasonable person, but I think that team is certainly better off with battier than with rudy, at least for the next few years when Houston's window is biggest. I know the stats don't really bare it out right now, but you have to assume that Battier's %-ages will go back up. He's also an excellent defender, and teams need that lockdown guy (like Raja, Bowen, Tayshaun..)
but i do think that Rudy could be an allstar in this league at some point

sure in a few years. right now...
i see rudy gay as a finisher... Tmac is also a finisher. battier helps spread the floor, wish he would use that left handed hook more. not sure if having 3 finishers (yao, tmac, gay) would have worked or even if Gay would have gotten the minutes to develop. it also helps having Battier guard the other elite player every night instead of Tmac working hard on both ends.
Rudy Gay doesnt have the jumpshot right now. grizz have a low post Gasol, shooting threat Miller, and now a drive/slasher Gay. seems solid, just like the rockets have yao in the post, tmac as a driver and battier spreading the floor.
although i would have liked to see tmac stay at the 3.
looking forward to your response

I wasn't referring to the time of the trade nor even at this particular moment in time. Rudy Gay will make Houston regret that move.

it's a great move under JVG in my opinion. Sure, Battier does some things that Gay can't even dream of doing right now in his NBA career--but you can't just pass that kind of talent up--but if you think you are just one piece away from winning it all and that Battier is that one piece, then go right ahead. Just don't go crying in two years when Houston doesn't manage to win a title (they are not going to win one) and Gay is a bonafide star in this league.
