They are 6-2 at home. Just losing on the road. That's usually a sign on a team on the upswing of things.

Coming into today Nuggets are on a 4 game win streak, but none of their opponents has a winning record, their last three opponents have a combined record of 4-44.

Right now they are in trouble at home against the timberwolves, who still have the lead behind a second half rally, overcoming an early deficite. The NUggets defense looks just horrible, other than the occasional Nene block. Two days ago they barely beat the knicks at home.

T-wolves won 106-100 and snapped their 15-game losing streak. C.Billups (2-13) jinxed himself before the game .
Jawai couldn't score, but grabbed 7 rebounds in 13 minutes, Hollins had no noteworthy contributions which show up in the box score and a few careless turnovers, but seemed to do fine on defense(at least in the second half, don't know about he first).

It's also fun to look at the grizzlies-clippers play-by-play. Clippers were down 59-79 with two minutes to go in Q3, and outscored the Grizzlies 39-9 over the rest of the game. After a Rudy Gay-jumper on the first posession of the fourth quarter, the Clippers won the rest of the quarter 33-5, closing with a 22-0 run over the last 5:20min. Unbelievable if we wouldn't have witnessed a similiar run from the Mavs against the Rockets. But still, it's the Clippers! That must be their best fourth-quarter performance ever! I'm curious what Bill Simmons has to say about Dunleavy's 600th regular season win, I found his reports from Clippers Q4-meltdowns were some of his funniest columns.

First we play Philly on Monday, but yeah, Nets already embarrassed us last season, it sure would be fitting if they do it again for their first win of the season...

Law of averages would suggest they have to win eventually.. I just hope that first win comes after Wednesday. Being that first team to lose to an 0-17 team would suck.

Since the record is 17 (and not 18), it's been done before, right?

EDIT: Ahhh, unless you mean this year. In that case, I gagree.

I'd trade Carroll for Bass. Not a good place for him for PT, but he's a good guy. Just sayin.

I do hope Otis chokes on Bass/Gortat's 20 million in salary and taxes though

Looks like Roy is dealing with some of the same issues Arenas is dealing with as far as what his role should be:

Quote:
The Blazers offense has been struggling, so coach Nate McMillan had a meeting with Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge and Greg Oden Monday. The Blazers have changed from a pick-and-roll offense dominated by Roy and Aldridge to one where they're feeding the ball to Oden in the post.

Roy told The Oregonian that the Blazers need to "establish a pecking order offensively." Roy began the season stressing to his teammates the importance of sacrificing, but he says he feels like he is sacrificing the most.

"How do I sacrifice and still be me?" Roy asked Monday. "That's what I'm trying to find out. I'm trying to sacrifice and I'm trying ... but I'm feeling ... Arrrrrgh! I don't think it works. Not because of the scoring, it just doesn't seem right."

"There's a lot of plays where I just stand in the corner. And I can see the whole play just happening," Roy told The Columbian. "Not that I feel lost. I just feel like I'm not really in rhythm; I'm not fully involved."

Yea they owe the road 9 games. That's the only consolation to the fact that they've destroyed just about everyone they've played since Pao got back.

Artest says.....I used to drink Hennessy ... at halftime,"

Artest admits drinking, blasts ref
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4706474

Ron Artest, the often-controversial Los Angeles Lakers forward, told a magazine interviewer he used to drink alcohol at halftime of NBA games.

"I used to drink Hennessy ... at halftime," Artest said in an interview with The Sporting News, which is publishing the story in its Dec. 7 issue. "I [kept it] in my locker. I'd just walk to the liquor store and get it."

Hennessy is a French cognac.

Artest said he drank whhen he played for the Chicago Bulls, where he played for his first three seasons (1999-2002). He has since played for Indiana, Sacramento, Houston and the Lakers.

He was a member of the Pacers when he was involved in a fight in Detroit that spilled over into the stands. He was suspended for the rest of the 2004-05 season, which turned out to be 73 games. Artest told the Sporting News that the brawl "wasn't my fault. ... I don't see anything I could have done different."

Artest told the Sporting News that he has tamed his admittedly wild lifestyle, but still likes to "party and I have fun."

"When I was a 19-year-old father, whew. I was a single pimp! I was wild," he told the magazine. "A lot of marijuana and alcohol -- even before [that age]. ... I [still] party and I have fun, but not like I used to. I used to drink every night and party every night."

He also criticized NBA referee Joey Crawford, who was on the floor for two games of the 2009 NBA Western Conference semifinals. In Game 2, Artest was ejected after an altercation with Kobe Bryant. In Game 7, Crawford also officiated, and the Lakers won 89-70 to close out the series.

"Joey Crawford basically said, 'Who cares about the Houston Rockets? Kobe Bryant is on the floor,' " Artest said, according to the Sporting News.

that game's boxscore line from Bosh sure reads like a "good bye" to Toronto.

If only Douglas-Roberts and Bosh suddenly demanded trades to Dallas while Stern suddenly allowed an exception to the CBA large enough to get them both here.

Hopefully sooner than later to Dallas. So we send Damp up there with a couple picks or take on a bad contract.

Not trying to sound selfish, but if Toronto doesn't trade Bosh before the deadline, they're stupid. There's no way a player of his caliber would willingly go back to that team.

With Bryan Colangelo running the show, Toronto is not stupid, he will be dealt if things with him falters.

Plays for LA.

He should have already been fined for his horrendous haircut.

I wonder if there is any statistical benefit to backloading your road games (I realize neither team has a say in the matter..)

Perkins has "punked" Duncan twice tonight thus far. He flat out LAYED Duncan out on a pick, then later elbowed him in the face. Both times TD didn't do a damn thing.

Make no mistake, Duncan is NOT soft. But if that were Dirk, people would be gushing how "soft" he is for letting Perkins do that. Double standards.

And man I hate that Boston team. Every one of them.

What would it take for us to get him? Dust chip+ what? Gooden? but that's both of our "centers". Gooden/Damp/JJB? lol.

I don't know anymore. I never thought he was that great. I mean, he overpaid to get Nash, and lucked into the 04-08 Suns. No one honestly thought that smallball would work. Then he goes to Toronto and picks against LaMarcus Aldridge in the draft. Toronto, even though they were good for awhile, was never a real contender. And besides Bosh and Calderon, none of their players have real good trade value. I think they'd be better off trading Bosh anyways. They'd save some serious cap, and would probably get the 1st round pick again.
