You just dont get it Silk... YOU are the one trying to bully the ENTIRE board. State your claim, your opinion all you want, but you dont have to hijack a thread every single time you want to speak your mind. This is suppose to be a place where Mavericks fans can come, share opinions, and enjoy being a fan. Not a place where everyone should constantly have to dig through troll posts to get to any sensible conversation.

Men of GOD are not infallible. As expected, you have no specific information about anything Avery was offered. At least I have "writers".

Tell me which writer is given information from GM's about who they are going to interview or hire? Yes, there are plenty of information out there with direct quotes from Avery. I believe Avery over a writer anyday of the week when it comes to the welfare of Avery's career.

That's a pretty naive outlook - a writer has everything to lose by lying whereas Avery has everything to gain (in this particular case, anyway...)

These tags are priceless...
anyways..
I am very pleased with the move from Carlisle. I was starting to lose some faith in him, and but it is obvious from the start really that he is willing to find out what works best. Our consistency is at test over the next handful of games against quality teams... we, as Mavericks fans, should all try to be optimistic after the last couple games and see what happens. Could be possible that everything is just now starting to gel like it should.

That is just silly as hell to say that a writer has everything to lose when writing an article. Just plain silly. Then to call Avery a liar about saying he turned down coaching jobs and interviews like he said. Guess, Avery never made it clear to the Bulls that he wanted to take some time off rather than to coach, I guess Walsh did not come to Houston to interview Avery?

He said a writer has everything to lose by lying when he writes an article. How is that not true? When a writer lies and people find out, the writer gets fired.

It's a fact. It happened at the NY Times not 2 years ago. It's happened plenty of times at major newspapers in the past 50 years.
I'm sure you'll have some half-assed response, but nobody knows what the hell you're saying anyway.

I have to hand it to the guy. He replies to everyone, the guy is a fighter. A nonsensical one, but still a fighter.
I'm going to do my best and stay away from this, it's such a waste of time. And I hope the rest of you will do the same. You have to ask yourself, "is creditxpert really worth it?"

I admire his effort, too. He's gotta have the last word, even though it's never anything thoughtful.

According to that second link you posted, Avery wasn't really even being seriously considered.
And why would you believe a "writer" anyway?

Talking/interviewing with a team is different from being offered a position.
It's like that in every day life. Just because I'm interviewed for a position doesn't mean that I have actually acquired it.

Only peons like you have to do interviews. Silk doesn't have to do interviews. He runs his own business. He has no boss.

Perfect example how you just look over things on purpose. I posted some links to back up my case that he has interviewed more than once, and then I back up my case on Avery deciding on his own future while having opportunies to come back coaching. Each disproved your point that he has had no other choices or interviews besides Memphis.

The only job the littlest colonel turned down was memphis....all of the rest are avery spin. Show me where a reputable someone states how many job offers he received...you are delusional on this one.

I dont agree with the Avery spin mess. I believe in what Avery said, that he just wants to take time off before getting back into coaching. He has stated he has had opportunies, so I believe him. Have no reason to doubt him at all. Avery has never came across as a liar to me. Maybe to you or others but I dont know where you would get that from. I think Avery is a man of his word, and until proven wrong, I believe him when he says that. IMO.
What makes you think Avery is a liar and a spin artist? I am curious.

You've done very little to show Avery had any opportunity besides the Memphis job he was just offered.

Please show me the bully post by me to get this started? Take your time, I will wait. Of course, you wont because it will spell out the truth that I just attacked back. Dont worry you can continue with the troll jokes. It may even get you a positive rep or two from a couple of posters here.
I had to get that off my chest with you! No response needed.

Then you come up with 2 links that don't really prove he was being offered the job, just talks.. ok so at most ...maybe you meant one on the left and one on the right.

Because I trust this guys opinion more than Avery's.
Quote:
Avery (I Mean, 'Sources') Turns Down Grizz?
Mike Fisher -- DB.com
I have complete faith in Marc Stein. I have little faith in Avery Johnson. I have no doubt the Grizzlies considered hiring The Lil’ Johnson to run that young team. But there is a sidebar issue to this “sourced’’ story – and forgive me if this is a little too journalistically inside-baseball for you – but how is it that Marc’s exclusive piece:
1 Relies on an “unnamed source’’ as the foundation of the story, despite
2 Avery sitting right down the figurative Bristol, Conn. hallway from ESPN co-worker Marc, and
3 Avery actually being quoted on the record in the story and talking openly about the declined offer?
My faith in the work of Stein tells me there is some logical reason for what seems to be an unnecessarily deep-throaty approach to this story. But my distrust of Avery is, I guess, the reason I cannot pinpoint that logical reason.

my lawn hasn't been mowed in 3 weeks because of Avery Johnson. The '06 finals never happened. What's this about Jason Kidd calling plays? Isn't he a Mav now? I thought this was an Avery Johnson Rehash board.
