I think this team has a problem with riding a hot pony.. Why doe's dirk has to beg for the ball when stackhouse is in the game is behond me.
It's probably because we're a broader team than just dirk so AJ wants to get people involved early, but i think what he fails to understand is if Dirk is sizzeling he gets triple teamed.
The other 3 can start working their way in with the open jumpers, build some confidence.

Mavs need Devin Harris's penetration. Without his penetration the Mavs offense is anemic against the Spurs.

Looked a little more like a hand than an elbow. Don't they look different? Kerr's confused.

good defense on Ginobili. Howard is a mental lapse waiting to happen.

Nice d out of the timeout...Ginobli testing the winds before shooting...
Dirk's continuing to be aggressive on offense with only one Spurs' big in the game.

JHo - be aware of who's around you. Careless.
Nice move on O to make up for it, though.

I would so much rather see Damp try and come down with that board.

Love the traveling calls tonight.
Damp needs to catch the board and gather himself. Spurs only have one big man on the floor.

There are times when Dampier is no better than Raef LaFrentz on the offensive glass.
Total hooves-for-hands.

I am so pissed at how the Mavs came out for this game. There is no sense of urgency or balls out desire. effing avery.

JHo has games like this...especially defensively. At times, he just seems to drift. That was much more a case the last two seasons than this...

We cannot trade hoops. We just can't.

Damp shouldn't come to help on that play. Stack being aggressive.

Good job Dirk. But, is NVE picking up his third foul a good thing?

I wonder if MBenga would have recovered fast enough to nail Duncan for the and-one?

It was a no win situation for Damp. If he doesn't, Ginobili has an easy layup. If he does, all he can hope for is a bad pass or hope that Ginobili doesn't give the ball up.

Defensively Dallas has got keep their man in front of them. Including Duncan.
The Spurs look like the Mavs from Game 2. And it sure looks like they've figured Devin Harris out.

With the defense they are playing, we need to spot Dirk up at the arc and let him either fire away or find a slasher.
