I would imagine their collective heads are exploding with the grim recognition that championships won in years' past do not guarantee championships in the years' future.....

It must be hard for them to ignore the staggering evidence that the Spurs are basically just three deep as a team (can anyone imagine jacques vaughn getting any non-trash minutes coming off the ostensibly weak bench of the Suns???). I think this site treats fans of other teams pretty well - better than I would if I were in charge. I think fans of other teams should hang out at the boards that are established just for them. And most team specific fan boards don't want fans of other teams hanging around - in fact, most will ban you instantly once you post anything that indicates your loyalty to another team.

There are NBA boards that welcome fans of ALL teams but those are probably too hot for you - if you get your panties in a bunch over US then you would never last a day over there.

So you shouldn't expect nice treatment here - a lot of us would prefer to see you gone. And why should you expect better? If I posted on a Suns board that I was a Mavs fan I would get hammered FAR worse than you get from here.

The Suns also started playing good defense. The Spurs only scored 34 points in the entire second half. The Suns started deflecting balls and got a number of steals. Parker couldn't get around Barbosa in the 2nd half. That guy is freaking fast.

Don't think we should talk about choking or folding. A Finals berth is better then whatever Nash or the Suns have accomplished recently but still.. it's like saying "haha, your car has TWO flat tires." when your car has a flat itself.

Anyways, I still think the Spurs will be more of a playoff threat then the Suns but let's find out. The Suns are definitely becoming the darling and the team to beat in many people's eyes.

I can honestly say I love this board BECAUSE of the hostility to the other teams fans, it keeps the trolls at bay. On occassion an intelligent basketball fan of another team may come to these boards and it's great hearing from them but you can't really blame the regulars for being weary of a newcomer rooting for another team after dealing with so many trolls can you? And you wonder why outsiders aren't openly welcome.

It's definitely not a huge Maverick love-fest you make it out to be. As for being insanely optimistic, what do you expect? We have the best record in the league right now, should have been here when we were 0-4 it was a lot different.

Why bother coming here? Because as I said, I take interest in the other guy's perspective. It's boring being around Sun's love 24/7. And like I said, trolls are fair game.

Every little perceived slight from the media is cause for it's own thread, containing at least a page or 2 worth of comments about "what a @#$! retard So-And-So is". I have learned to respect the views here and of course--it IS a Mavs forum, so if they want to trash San Antonio, that is their right. I don't expect to change anyone's opinion. If you go to a San Antonio forum, believe me, you see people write tons of stuff about the Mavs i.e., "choking in the playoffs" "having no rings" etc, etc.

THe people here are diverse and have an incredible sense of humor. The level of writing is higher here than any other basketball website that I've ever seen.
