He was pretty out of it tonight. He referred to the cowboys as the packers early in the first quarter quite a few times. Has he been sick, he looked kinda puny.

Last chance julius will ever get in a cowboys uniform to pick up a 4th down. He just dove in there versus keeping his feet moving.

He is such a tool.

Bryant Gumbel makes so uncomfortable. I don't mean to be racist, but....come on, is he really a black guy? Why does he talk like that???? What happened to him in his life that made him talk like that? He's just not quite right.

What happened to him? He got involved in broadcasting. Lot of broadcasters lose their accents. Do you think Jim Nantz or Bob Costas grew up talking the way they do? For that matter, Peter Jennings was a canuck, though you'd have never known it from hearing him speak.
I like Bryant Gumbel. I'm just sad that he is now using the drugs, like Greggo.

I still can't believe that tony romo is throwing TD passes bc Q-Car failed a drug test 3 years ago.

It's true that Q-Car's behavior cost our league one of the brilliant young talents of this era. But Romo is a talent, too. I think he would have found a home at any rate.

There is some severe ripping of Gumbel going on the radio this morning. And for good reason. I can't believe some of the stuff he said last night.

As horse has pointed out.... what an incredible prediction. So I'm guessing that Dan knew that Favre was going to get hurt because that alone is what allowed Green Bay to get those 2 other touchdowns. And then once our Defense adjusted to Rodgers it was back to shutdown city (with the exception of that one 60 yard run).
I was getting dismayed by our secondary's performance at the end of the 1st half through most of the 3rd.... but I am willing to let it slide since they didn't game plan for Rodgers. They sure seemed to make the right adjustments.

I love the Cowboys. I endured 3 hours of a smoker's heaven, just to watch the game.

GOD I LOVE THE COWBOYS... And yes I knew Favre was going to get hurt - as did I know TO was going to drop that TD pass and keep them from getting to the 40s...
There is nothing better in sports than watching the Boys take down an opponent!

Just think about if you were that fan that handed TO the popcorn.
What a true fan. He definitely got his popcorn ready.

Yeah, I've seen Ware do this a number of times this year, and I wondered how he didn't get called offsides more. But I guess as that video shows, maybe he's just really good at calling the snap count and not offsides as much as I thought. If so that's impressive as can be.
Ware is going to be an absolute beast for this defense for the next five years. It's rare you can find a player with his ability to rush the passer AND drop into pass coverage and not miss a beat. I remember the controversy about Ware vs Shawn Merriman the first couple of years, but Merriman can't do that. And heck, Ware has been better this year getting to the quarterback and has never been blown up by a 5'7" guy. Give me Ware every day. I don't think Ware gets enough credit yet around the league for what he can do, but it shouldn't be long before he gets recognition as one of the top defensive players in the game.

Wow - that was one of the hardest games I've watched in a long time... Where do I start?
The NFL Network completely blows... I can't believe a network owned and operated by the NFL could hire so many people who don't know the first thing about football... Bryant Mumble has no business being anywhere near a pro game - he can't even tell the difference between the Packers & the Cowboys... It wasn't just him either - another guy was talking about the "Cowboy's" QB, Aaron Rodgers, in the post game... Add in all the technical difficulties & lack of any visual references and you easily have one of the worst broadcasts in pro sports...
Was it just me, or was the officiating absolutely horrible against both teams? It seemed like half the refs were rooting for the Cowboys while the other half wanted the Packers to win... Almost every bad call came with a late flag against the initial call of the ref closest to the action...
According to my eyes: TO was intercepted on that first drive... Jason Fasano made that second TD (he had control of the ball until the ground caused him to fumble, but contact with the ground in the end zone while having possession of the ball equals a TD)... As the video shows - DeMarcus Ware was not offsides... Twelve men on the field? Where I come from, Bryant, six guys in the front, five guys in the back, and a REF does not equal twelve men on the field (maybe that was a Freudian slip?)... Miles Austin might have had his arm grabbed a bit (more of a check before the ball was catchable - the corner was looking for the ball while feeling for his man), but incidental contact of the legs shouldn't ever result in pass interference... And since when does one chain link short of a first down result in a first down??? If the refs want to give the Packers a first down to make the game more interesting, then don't present empirical evidence stating the contrary to the viewers by taking a measurement...
All said, I think the Cowboys still could have won this game 51-23:
If Farve hadn't gone down with injury, then one of those TDs would have probably resulted in a field goal and we could have gotten another interception or two (at the rate he was playing)... Texas Stadium must give him nightmares...
Part of Aaron Rodger's success was that we didn't have any tape on him... Give the boy credit though - he kept his team in the game even though Favre was doing his best to give us an early Christmas present...
If TO hadn't dropped that TD, then add seven... If we had kicked a field goal rather than run it with Julius on 4th and 2 (or at least run with MB3), then add three more points (possibly seven)... If we had tossed a TD rather than running it with Julius on 3rd & 8 in the redzone (resulting in a field goal) then add four more points...
Despite all the setbacks due to officiating, penalties, Aaron Rodgers, a few bad offensive play calls, and too much butter on TO's fingers from that popcorn, the Cowboys still beat the next best team in the NFC by double digits... Not too shabby...

On the Fasano non-catch, I believe the rule is if you go to the ground on your own (i.e. a dive) you have to control the ball upon hitting the ground. It's a pretty straight forward rule, I was shocked Phillips challenged it, it was obvious to me it wasn't a catch.

I know! And I remember one of the commentators saying, "I guess it's close enough for government work." Part of me wanted Phillips to challenge the spot of the ball and make those asshats remeasure.
