Shawn said the arena was moving on his run-out dunk!!! It felt like it.

Has anyone commented on how Westbrook was a bitch and ran off the floor as quick as he could and didn't shake hands?

Also, noticed that the post game press conference was Durant and Harden....at the same time. Meet the required quota and keep Westbrook out of it, two birds one stone. No Scott Brooks press conference?

Haywood, "I'd definitely rather be a backup center on a championship team then a starting center on a team that loses in the first round. It's all about the ring at this point of the year. It's all about the team, and it's all about coming together. I think that's what we're doing."

It's so great to see that Haywood has really turned the corner. And his effort on improving his FTs is great. He has played really well so far in the playoffs.

Scotty gave a presser, and he was as professional as you might expect. Westbrook...well, he's a long way from being a seasoned vet, I'll just say that.

I think it's a little improper not to speak something to the fans under that circumstance...

Yes! So great to see. I hope he continues his great play so far. We definitely need him in the Finals. He has been big for the team.

Dirk holding that trophy up was ALL those fans wanted to see. We just want to see him holding up the next one...

Literally no one cares.
Dirk could have walked into the bowels of the AAC, stripped naked and started jerking his german weinerschnitzel and everyone would have cheered.

yeah brooks is definitely a smart and funny guy and overrall a good coach, he did seem over his head at times though, not impressed with his sets, he should probably hire an offensive coach and let them run their sets

He was first up, only fifteen minutes or so after the game, so a lot of his opinions weren't at all fully formed, understandably. But of course, he was gracious. They kept wanting to ask him about the future of his team, more than anything else.

People probably can't fully appreciate how zoned in Dirk is right now. He's probably on a rigorous schedule of training, practicing and studying and doesn't want to do anything to mess it up. Considering he's also german it only intensifies everything.
I bet he didn't even have a drink tonight.

I absolutely love JKidd's hockey assist for the Dirk 3 to take the lead. As soon as he passed the ball to Marion, you could see him immediately telling Marion to pass it to Dirk for the 3.
This guy sees plays several milliseconds ahead of real time. It's amazing.

Someone should have a pizza delivered to the AAC floor when we beat the Heat. Dirk would smile and dig in.

"Welcome to our newest member, HEAT WAVE"
Great... a whole new contingent of trolls to deal with. Sigh. Predictions:
1. Constant discussion of 2006 with no mention of the fact that they didn't follow the team at all during 2007-2010 (i.e. when the Heat sucked)
2. Statements about how LeWosh are better than Dirk, how it's ridiculous to think that Dallas could win the series
3. Promises of a Miami sweep
4. Complete radio silence once they realize that the Mavs are not going quietly

Thank you Jesus (Dirk)...I am going to my friend's wedding this weekend and have a rehearsal dinner on Friday night. I wouldn't have been able to watch Game 6. After OKC won Game 2, the Mavs had to win three in a row so I wouldn't have to worry about that, and they did. THANK YOU MAVS!

I've seen that play several times now and there's no question that's what Kidd was thinking.
"If I shoot this to Marion Dirk is going to be wide open."
Amazing.

To round out some thoughts...
While I fully understand and very much appreciate where Dirk's head is at, I would have loved for him to do a very brief address (if you will) to the crowd there tonight, and every Mav's fan at home watching. He could say something in appreciation of the support and then a one liner such as Mark Cuban's and walked off.
On the other hand, I have no problem with it. I think we all know exactly what his ultimate goal is. I think he set an example for the team and they will use it. JET also should be credited with at least giving the fans something to feel very much a part of this and in no way should JET be negatively criticized for doing so. The fans are as much a part of every win as any player and they deserve to feel a part of something as big as the Western Conference Champions.
Here is to hoping for so much more for these next couple of weeks and, regardless, I have had the most fun being a Mavs fan this year.
Let's go MAVS!

Speaking of weird stats boding well for us, didn't the only two bigger playoff collapses than our Game 4 debacle against Portland result in those two teams making the Finals?
So we've got that working for us too. Chuck's roundhouse kicks are aligning...

This is exactly what I expect from some run of the mill fan. Here's to hoping otherwise...
As I said earlier when I brought this up, where is ThunderFan???

Yes, amazing indeed. It was what he really wanted. He didn't want to pass to Dirk right away because Dirk will be covered. He created enough of a diversion so that Dirk would have a little more space. His BBIQ is phenomenal.

Call me a totalitarian, but I would not be even slightly opposed to simply banning every Heat fan who posts here during the entirety of the Finals (assuming they make it).

Quote:
DALLAS -- On Oct. 19, 2010, the day before a preseason game between the Mavericks and Orlando Magic, guard DeShawn Stevenson had a team get-together at his house.
Stevenson, who has an offseason home in Orlando, brought his chef and his personal tattoo artist for the players. It was a team-building exercise.
Stevenson's chest, neck and arms are covered with tattoos. He even has two piercings in his chest. But despite all the tats, what he saw teammate Jason Terry do was mind-boggling at the time.
Terry got a tattoo of the NBA Finals trophy placed on his right biceps.
"When he first got the tattoo, I said he was crazy," Stevenson said of the tattoo that is on the inside of Terry's arm. "I didn’t say it to him. But I've never been to the [NBA Finals], and for him to have that now. Wow. And he got that tattoo in October, and it means a lot with what we've been through."
The tattoo story came up Wednesday night following the Mavericks' 100-96 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder that clinched the Western Conference Finals, 4-1. Dallas is headed to its second NBA Finals appearance in franchise history.
In a way, Terry had a feeling this team was destined to play for the championship.
"Everybody laughed and they thought it was a joke at the time," said Terry, who is one of two players, Dirk Nowitzki being the other, who participated in Dallas' 2006 Finals loss to the Miami Heat. "When they actually see me get it, they were like, 'This boy is serious.' And our whole talk and conversation was about right now, about us getting to this point and winning it all."
The Mavericks are now four victories away from a title and are awaiting the winner of the Eastern Conference finals between Chicago and Miami.
And that tattoo on Terry's arm is looking like a good decision now.
"The whole makeup, the chemistry, just all together, all the stars have to line up for you to win it," Terry said. "They're in place right now. It's just on us to go out and finish the job."
