Absolutely, but even still, they should be dominating the boards much more than they are. They only won the glass by 4 tonight, and actually lost it in Game 2. That's inexcusable. That was their way to win the series, and they haven't been doing it.

Who comes up with the rating system that says Bennett Salvatore is one of the best refs in the world? That's what I want to know.

You got me. But to be honest, the "lower-tier" NBA refs are pretty much completely over their heads in playoff games. I really noticed it in the early rounds.

Sorry don't buy coincidences. And so far Crawford has reffed one game against the Mavs through 12 playoff games. (but if the Mavs and heat make the Finals, I bet you will see Crawford for at least 2 games.....)

You'll have to forgive them. They've never watched Barkley play, nor do studio work, since they just started following basketball in mid-April.

Anyone else loving the fact that, if we make the finals, we would be the clear-cut underdogs no matter who we play? The Mavs thrive in that position.

2006:
Avery v. Pat Riley
If we make it out of the WCF, then 2011:
Thibodeau/Spoelstra v. Rick Carlisle

Chicago playing well so far. They gotta know that the only way they can beat Miami is to crash the offensive boards.

Exactly. Heat are a bad rebounding team, Chicago is a great one. If you can't take advantage of that huge mismatch, you don't win.

Gotta like our chances a lot better in the coaching department...
Unfortunately, Wade/LeBron/Bosh > Wade/Shaq.
(although Dirk/Kidd/Chandler/Marion/JET > Dirk/Harris/Damp/Howard/JET...)

Chicago had the best record in the league? Rose was the MVP? Noah is gay?
Pretty underwhelming performance from these guys and this team that had their nuts sweated so hard all year by the media.

I actually have a problem with Rose being selected MVP.
If you look at every other MVP in the last 30 years, the one thing they all have in common is that they were snubbed at least once before getting the vote. Not Derrick Rose, though - he was anointed immediately. It's kind of a slap in the face to more-deserving individuals (like Dwight Howard...)
Rose ain't no Jordan. Not yet. Maybe (probably) not ever.

Can't say I agree. I thought Rose clearly was the MVP of the regular season. His numbers were easily MVP worthy and his team had the best record.

It's true, he was anointed somewhat. He had a really good season and seems like a genuinely good guy- infinite more likeable than the 3 cHeat douchebags.
I certainly think that Dirk, Dwight and LeBron were at least equally deserving.

That second dunk by Rose was amazing, but the first one I think was literally the the fastest I have ever seen anyone get down the court. That was insane.

So strange to see LeBron embrace the bad guy role. Talking smack and woofing after he swatted Rose's shot. Don't remember that being his style. Dude's such a frontrunner.
And Bosh now celebrates after every shot he makes? God, i hate these guys.

Thibodeau's gotta have more trust in his bench. He really rides his starters. Actualy so does Spoelstra. Strange series that way. Hope it goes 7! Let em beat the hell out of one another.

In fairness to Spo, he only has starters. His bench is garbage, aside from the now occasional bright spot from Haslem. Absolutely right about Thibs, though.
I like Spo, interestingly. I really despise everything about this team except him. He seems like a good dude, if not in a bit over his head.

I feel the same way. He may not be anything special as a coach, but he certainly doesn't seem terrible.
