Hello. Just joined. I may or may not chime in on monetary policy but would like to know if this is a serious forum or not first. Lots of gaps and misunderstandings within the thinking within this thread.

FYI, the great free market thinker Hayek agreed with Keynes on the need to stimulate during d-processes. All the smart people with deep understanding of markets and money do.

That's because only mental midgets talk politics on a sports forum in an attempt to sound smart in front of people who are totally clueless about the issues.

Is there rep here? Can I rep this?
The funny part is every board has the same characters spouting the same stuff. The Socialist PaulBots seem to be the most common, which is expected considering the inherent contradiction of the platform: "Give me a free market; Government must guarantee my wealth". Deep stuff there.

This is stuff is great! Righties stroking one another's egos with dueling Ron Paul ads and supply-side friendly articles that seemingly reinforce their faith in the trickle down dogma that has yet to work in the real world- ie the past 30 years. Hey, I know it works in academic excercises that your professor shows you in your econ classes, I've been there, but your religion has yet to prove itself in the actual global economy- which includes people who don't drive or can't afford an Audi, a BMW, or a Merc (all German makes...). My guess is, is that most, if not all of you make less than $100k per year and consistently vote GOP- which to me, is a mind-blowing concept. I could go on with more, but what's the point of doing so? I hope one day, I make enough money to justify voting Republican.
Anyway, just call me a name, and quote some bullshit article filled with big words you had to look up in your thesaurs, endorsed by the Heritage Foundation which you found while browsing through Glen Beck's website looking for positive reinforcement- which is what you guys thrive at. Set me straight, shit, threaten me with a second amendment remedy if you have to. I mean, I must be a socialist, or a communist, or some kind of ingnorant malefactor to believe that the federal government can do some good with regards to societal and economic concerns. The 20th century was a fluke right?
Repeal the 20th century! The Earth is flat! Who's with me?

Yeah? Pick one where I wouldn't.
Look, if you're going to scream from your soapbox then you should have the slightest clue what's been going down in Washington the last 50+ years. Regurgitating dumbed down MSNBC claptrap doesn't cut it for me, nor reality. Nothing more than typical uninspired garbage, but that's what rings the chords of your typical angry commoner.

i have to say.. you truly come off as a bit of a tool in this thread.
you drop a few one liner posts, and then whine about the lack of substance from everyone else. You can pick one, or the other. Add some substance and THEN whine about other people's contributions if you care to (although that will still be whiney), or drop one-liners and pat yourself on the back. Chose. have your cake, or eat it.
