Haywood had severely outplayed Tyson tonight. I don't like removing Dirk. 11 points in 1:15...stranger things have happened.

Why did some people continue to insist Jet can't play back-up PG? 11 assists tonight. JJB with 2. Has JJB even hit 11 this year?
Granted, JJB has played very well lately, but when Roddy comes back he still needs to be phased out with Jet getting some minutes at the 1.

JJB did have 13 assists in the first matchup vs the nets

Good win. Kidd again played the most amount of minutes of anyone on the team (WTF?!?) but otherwise okay. Well balanced offense tonight.

not too unexpected particularly with Peja coming in and the Mavs possibly testing the trade market. If we make a trade there is a decent chance its 2for3, 3for4, etc and if we use a trade exception its almost guaranteed.

Carlisle also says that Peja will likely not make the next trip to stay in Dallas and work on conditioning (subject to change).

Well ... there obviously have to be better options than Sasha going forward. I still don't get why Carlisle lobbied for him before the game. He was only starting to reunite the Terrion-Tandem off the bench.

Have to dig into the numbers, but wouldn't surprise me if Haywood actually had a greater defensive impact than Chandler lately.

If by lately you mean the last two out of three games, I would definitely agree.
Haywood is a better man on man defender, if he's trying.

Exactly. Haywood the last few games has certainly played better D than Tyson, and it's blatantly conspicuous that has come along with a remarkable increase in effort. This is a guy who has at prolonged times this year looked like a D-League caliber player...and that sure isn't a skill issue.

Because he cannot. No one is saying he can't be a playmaker out there, but look back at the detroit game when they pressed him. Forget it...he just doesn't have the handles to get the ball up court.

For the record, JJ had 13 assists in a game this year...in the game against the Nets on 12/9

It's important to mention that as far as "point guards leading us TO (emphasis on to... since we didn't make it past there) the finals" go, Devin Harris had as much (or more) to do with it than Terry.

JET's a better SG than PG, but he's more than proved himself capable of playing both positions.

You are aware he was our starting PG when the Warriors showed everyone how incompetent he was at it. When our 67 win team got beat by a #8 seed.

Yes I was talking about the last 2 or 3 games. In terms of points per 100 possessions (defensive efficiency) Haywood ranks ahead of Chandler in these games. Not by a lot, but considering that Chandler outplayed him the whole season, this is worth mentioning I guess.
Another interesting fact: Count out Ajinca, whose sample size is too small anyway, and Haywood is our 3rd best player (behind Chandler and Kidd) in terms of defensive efficiency even though playing the most minutes alongside Terry and Barea. Terry ranks 12th and Barea 15th (out of 15) in that category.

Im surprised that they beat the knicks the other night so i hope that we come into the game mentally prepared! They have solid D so we are going to need good ball movement!

But that is not exactly an indication that he is useless at the 1. Terry is not known for his defense at the 2 either.
I personally would like to see some Terry running the point, but only because this would mean that Roddy gets more burn at the 2
