Often times though he'll send kyrie to the bench 1st and leave Luka in the game then sub in green and Hardy with Luka.

I'd like to see them both play 12-14 minutes off the bench strictly with Kyrie aa the lead guard while Luka rest

I get Portland is paying big for a win-now guy in Grant. At almost 30, he fits Kyrie's timeline which may as well be our timeline.

But he's iso offense. We don't need iso offense. He's a big, but he doesn't really rebound. He's only a decent defender. He's also earning the max and not really earning it (22-4-3 is far from good value for almost 30 mill in 2023-2024.

If we got him, we'd have three max guys: Luka, Kyrie, and Grant. I'm not sure he'd put us over the top.

Offense is really only lobs, but he could be that backup 4/5 while actually contributing assists (which both Lively and Powell have been doing too in Kidd?s system)

Wonder if the mavs have thought about calling charlotte up again for PJ. Theyre going nowhere so maybe he's gettable

Probably mostly contracts. 3-11 means they are going nowhere quickly. But he earns 38mill so he's both be a big contract (38mill this year, 40mill expiring next) and would cost us a couple of guys (probably THJ/Holmes or THJ/Kleber)

Hornets? I don't see anything I want. PJ Washington is another undersized 4 (6'7") whose game is a less efficient Jerami Grant. I'm not sure they'd give up their starting center, Nick Richards, but he is solid.

The Mavs have adjusted their offense, to become a much faster paced team, which theoretically should benefit Green and Hardy. They were like the slowest paced team last season, and they are currently the 8th fastest.

In fairness 4 wins have come vs Portland otherwise this team would be closer to just being .500 at best.

Also look at the effort by Luka

I believe in games like this you can always tell how the team is going to play by observing Luka's effort
