I feel like the Mavs have been on the butt end of several bad calls tonight....

One of those nights. Too many moving parts will catch up to you.

Rotation was suspect tonight. Should have started Da Jones and had Crowder come off the bench. You had Murphy trying to guard Novak and Crowder trying to guard JR Smith at times. Mavs PG's were forcing feeding OJ Mayo instead looking for their own offense.

You're not the only one who feels that way, unfortunately it wasn't only the fouls that has put us in this position.

Wow no hustle after that got poked away? The Knicks have given us so many chances to take this game away from them. Disheartening.

This is where you see how important the dirkster is going to be. There is no place to go to get a decent shot. Nor anyone that can draw a double and kick it. Nada

This is so ridiculous. Crowder taking 3's when the Knicks are shooting poorly and we're just giving the ball back to them.

Team was pretty gassed after the Toronto game and than had to travel. Unfortunately, they are going on a B2B as well. Could get ugly.

Kaman and Carter played a great game. Rest of the team SUCKED.

Crowder -- plz learn how to play defense and how to rebound
Wright -- plz learn how to play defense and how to rebound
Collison -- plz learn how to shoot (driving does not work in half court)
Mayo -- plz be smarter

Pretty much that.

We played like hell, but I hate watching JR and Carmelo be assholes--particularly when they are winning and the announcers couldnt have been more annoying.

Just terrible to watch tonight. Let's get Marion and Dirk back soon.

Kaman only getting 7 shots (going 6-7 by the way) is on Carlisle.

Well, i think they all will learn their lessons from this game, specially Collison

Crowder came back to earth, Collison...Mayo took some stupid decisions but was a frustrating game for him with the bs foul calls and the PG stinking it up.

Murphy need to knock down his shots. He is our Matt Bonner. Glad his PT is gone with Dirks return.

With Dirk its an easy win. Now refocus and beat the Bobcats. They are b2b too

Don't get riled up. Let Knicks rejoice. Refs took OJ Mayo out the game because he was giving it to the Knicks.

If OJ isn't in foul trouble. Mavs most likely win. But teams are going to start giving OJ Mayo the Kobe 06 treatment. This was the first dose of it. Someone else has to stop up, until Dirk comes back

then that nonsense will stop

My guess is that Kaman is still on restricted minutes because of his calf injury. He said he expect to be 100% just end of next week. And with the game tomorrow i understand his minutes. But yeah no excuses for the guards not to feed him more.

When Kaman was on the floor, he touched the ball just about every possession in the 2nd half. He should of had more foul shots also. I guess because of the B2b, Carlisle reduced his minutes.

First half showed how much Dallas misses Marion. Second half showed how much they'll miss Dirk. Dallas outscored 66-34, 13-of-43 (29.5%) from the field with 12 turnovers in the third quarters of their two losses this season (both on the road).

I cannot stand when Melo starts screaming at the crowd after hitting a 3. He really reflects that nasty New York attitude.

Life after Dirk and Marion is going to be tough to watch.

I understand his low minutes, but not his low attempts when he has proven that he can cut them up. 6-7 demands the ball.

Can't agree with this especially since our next game is the Bobcats, if anything a win over the Knicks is far more important because I don't see us losing to the Bobcats even if Kaman does play full minutes tonight.

Even with Vince getting hurt and Mayo's turnovers and bad fouls against him, the Mavs had a chance to win this but they couldn't capitalize with Melo on the bench. Melo sat for a long time in the first half and when Mayo went to the bench I think they were up six but couldn't build on that. Same thing in the second half, Melo goes to the bench and the Mavs don't take advantage of it. The opportunity was there but they were not making shots and Collison wasn't attacking. With Mayo on the bench, Collison and/or Roddy should have really stepped up but neither of them did. Everything was a jumpshot.

No one on the Mavs looked particularly sharp tonight. I knew this was going to be a tough game and possibly even a blowout, but it's always more disappointing when a team is right there and can't pull it off.

I saw the Mavs try to run the give and go on the baseline (Dirk and Roddy play from last year) 3 times in the game unsuccessfully. Mayo got trapped the 1st time, the 2nd time neither defender left Collison or Murphy. The last time, Kaman failed to make the pass after Roddy got free from his defender.

He had the ball. Whether or not he puts the ball up for a shot is on Kaman. Remember, he is being guarded by the DPOY and a former DPOY and he is still trying to find his way. This was probably the first game that he actually had to "work" for his shots. Everything has been wide open because the tempo was fast.

Its on Carlisle for not getting the ball to Kaman in spots where he can go to work. A weakness of the "flow" offense is that if the pg doesn't make it happen, a player may not get the ball in the right spots. That is one thing Kidd was amazing at.

Well reality is if collison played better we stll win the game. yes defense could have been better but seriously how many defenders can stop melo? not a fan of the turnovers especially mayo but still a postivie game from him. he shot the ball well and if not for the foul trouble would have put up 30 ad we would have had better chance of winning.

On the kaman front, I thought he did a great job of finding open shooters. They just missed.
