Ugly scenario for the Suns

Yea. The move was done for salary cap reasons though. I think they just wanted anything in return for him. But like you said they were so close to getting a top pick. Didn't they get the 3rd pick in the draft? Like one off of almost giving the Suns their 4th pick in the draft. Crazy how things happen. Suns probably will end up trading the pick anyway though.

I hope the Hornets win tonight... them losing leaves the door open for the possibility of the Jazz as the #2 seed... but its good that the Clippers are making them sweat, I feel pretty good about our chances tommorow.

NBA refs are so silly. No spine, every time Kobe looks at them angrily the next possession he gets the free throws.
How did the NBA let this happen that their league has turned into this randomness, where the play that happens doesn't matter, it's all about the vibe the ref feels from possession to
possession.
And every single drive Kobe is screaming now. EEEEEEYYYYYYYYY, AHHHHHH, UHHHHAAA
Every time he goes to the paint... This should be a technical every time.
How is this still a sport? Of course Kobe can find a way to dribble somewhat close to the rim and throw something up there. Should he be rewarded for that every time?
I don't think that's what this guy had in mind.

I wonder if the Jazz are throwing this game. If they win they get the Spurs, if they lose they get the Rockets. Honestly I couldn't blame them if they were

I'd like to think they are but don't they get home court if they win this game? Best home team in the league doesn't want homecourt advantage?

I don't believe the Jazz tanked the game tonight. The Spurs just came out ready and thumped them.
The Jazz have a crappy road record compared to at home. I can see Houston surprising the Jazz.

Spoken like any good Spurs fan.
The Jazz wanted to play Houston and not San Antonio. It's obvious.

who would really want to pick the spurs over the rockets? I think Dallas is the only team who might sign on the dotted line for that one.

Dirno is saying to forget HCA when you can play the Rockets instead of the Spurs. It's an easy call, really.

Statistically, in the last 10 years or so, every team who has played the Rockets in the first round went on to the second round. The choice is clear. Clear Eyes.

I was at the Jazz-Spurs game tonight in the greatest NBA seats I've ever sat in. I was literally right on the center court line, home side, about 20 rows up. Basically the TV view.
And let me just say--the Spurs looked like they were on a mission. Good lord, the Jazz were absolutely dismantled in the first half.
Oh, and even though I hate him (and every Spurs player), I have a new found appreciation for Tony Parker's speed. It is absolutely insane to see him up close like that.

Yea but how many times have the Rockets been at home in those series they lost? I just don't get the logic regardless of the opponent. You just dismantled the Spurs a couple of weeks ago at your own homecourt yet you'd rather go through the Rockets and play them at home? Jazz will go home in the 1st round. Rockets are going to beat them probably in 6. The best home team in the league doesn't want home court. I could understand if they were a great road team but they're not.

The Jazz are a scary good team. Going home in the first roudn? against mclady and skip to my loser? I highly doubt it.
considering how GREAT they play at home, ALL they have to do really is go 1-3 on the road... they're definitely capable... especially since T VAG apparently doesn't like the scenery at the toyota center :P.
Jazz are a great team... and my homerism leads me to believe we will meet THEM in the western conference finals... shall be tough

Good lord, does anyone else think Ramon Sessions was a huge steal at #56? I know Milwauke has nothing to play for, but this kid is playing on cloud 9 right now. 25 points and 14 assists last night....

Pretty funny the way the playoffs are shaping up in some respects. The bracket we DID want to be in has dallas, spurs, phoenix, hornets. Weird... Last year we'd be crying about that but this year you want to avoid lakers, utah.
Weird.

In the face of all their history in recent years, the lack of Yao, and the lack of Alston for the first 2 or 3 games, you say this?
I don't know man. I don't know about that.

I just don't believe the Jazz tanked the game and gave up home court just to face the Rockets in the first round. Not with there road record.
Also pretty stupid move by Okur to issue a flagrant two (though the refs called a flagrant 1) on Oberto in a game they were supposedly tanking. I'll be shocked if he's not suspended a game.
