I do have kids, in fact I have a 7month old right now. I'm very aware that it happens. But the way in which theirs happened was very annoying to me.
I did enjoy the Will Forte character. Is he a regular or was that a guest appearance?

What Thiggy is saying is, he has no problem getting it in when he wants it. Take notes.

Ok, I thought I remembered you had a kid.
They definitely have exaggerated him as a helpless male (getting lost in the grocery store, for example - which again does happen, but not to the extreme portrayed in the show). Applegate definitely wears the pants in the relationship. Ultimately the show is geared toward females, but there are some funny moments we dads can appreciate.
And that was the only appearance for Forte so far, although in a previous episode, Arnett was talking with the Forte character (before we knew it was Forte) over XBox Live.

Thought the Breaking Bad finale was strong, though not as strong as the Season 3 finale. Curious to see what they're gonna do for the 5th and final season. They'll need to set up at least one more big, season-ish-long antagonist.

Pretty sure there's going to be two 8 episode seasons, not one last one.

Breaking Bad could end right here and I'd be okay with it. What could possibly happen next season to top this?

I'd heard that too, but I don't think they've confirmed anything yet.
Either way, that's about one season's worth of episodes. They've done 13 or 14 per season so far. I'd expect whatever final story arc(s) they have to mostly span both. So I still wonder exactly what they're gonna do.

The killing of that spare versus the eloquent execution of Gus? No contest for me. Stakes were higher, and Walt was at his most evil yet.
Heisenberg has taken over now. Walts transformation is nearly complete, if not so. I thought this was his darkest hour, and therefore the best television by far.
Can't wait to see hank's reaction to Gus's death and laundry's demise. Can't wait to see the inevitability of Hank finding out what/who Walt is. I suspect it will happen at the end, and that the cancer will be playing a mammoth role. my guess is Hank catches him, but he dies anyway, outside the confines of legal justice. At least I hope so.
Could be Jesse kills him for a plethora of very good reasons.
What goes around comes around. The last 16 will be about what comes around to Walt. There's also the footage of Jesse cooking meth in Mexico to worry about, and Gus's mysterious past which could send any number of Chileans al norte para matar a Walter White.
What a great show.

Well yeah, when you phrase it with that sort of slant. I can do the same thing, though: "The emotionally ripping murder of an innocent man by a person who had never killed anyone before, versus the killing of an evil man who deserved to die by a person who had already taken several lives. No contest for me." Too easy.
But really, that's not even what I meant. I just thought the Season 3 finale was a bit better put together. Not in terms of what actually happened, but how the tension was built by the script. Still thought this year's was very strong, of course.

Walt essentially forcing Jesse to kill a completely innocent guy (in the span of a few minutes, no less) just to save Walt's own life was pretty damn dark.

Poisoning a little kid is much, much, much darker.
I'm with Flaco, they were both awesome, but this season was "awesome-er".

Was Gayle _really_ innocent though? He knew the whole time that he would replace Walt and likely he knew that Walt would pay the ultimate price. Right?

When the kid ends up fine (not that I was wishing he wouldn't, mind you), I disagree. It was obviously a crucially important plot point, but it doesn't turn with the same extremity.
Plus, we can talk about Walt's transformation and the like, but Jesse has been the more innocent of the two since maybe the 2nd or 3rd episode of the series. I'm hardly surprised anymore when Walt does more and more extreme things, even though they get darker each time. Pretty much the only thing that could actually shock me about his behavior at this point would be if he allowed harm to his family. I find him to be a far less sympathetic character than Jesse.

Of course he's less sympathetic. By a mile. I probably won't be satisfied with a conclusion to the show that doesn't involve Walt dying. But there are still lines he hasn't (hadn't) crossed. Gus had crossed that line, which made the reveal that Walt was the poisoner so powerful (to me).
I also agree with Ninkobei, I don't appear to view Gale nearly as innocent as you do. In fact I would say the fact that Jesse pulled the trigger was a far darker aspect than who the victim was.
Moving beyond the discussion of which was darker; I also view Gus as the single best character the show has ever produced, so the culmination of his story arc was more satisfying to me than the culmination of Gale's.
So I'll still take season 4, and its end, over season 3. But again, they're both great. They're both better than anything that's ever been on tv not named "The Wire", and even then, I'd probably put these two seasons of BB over season 5 of The Wire (but that's probably where I draw the line).

I definitely thought it was a cool reveal, but I guess I just wasn't quite as affected by it. I was more impressed with the mechanical brilliance of his whole plan than surprised that he'd actually poison a kid. Like I said, for whatever reason, I'm just not shocked by anything he does anymore.

Well the two certainly go hand in hand, but I don't agree that he wasn't innocent, at least beyond his willingness to make drugs for huge cash. I thought it was abundantly clear from his in-home conversation with Gus that he was not expecting (and would have been vehemently opposed to) Gus killing Walt so he could take over. He looked pretty worried and specifically asked Gus why the issue of him taking over the lab had come up. And he answered that he would be quickly ready to take over only after Gus gave him his chilling, silent Gus stare.
Gale was intimidated by a murderous boss, not complicit in what his boss was doing. That's the way I saw it.

Well there's no doubt about that, and I also probably agree he was the best character. What hit me hard certainly wasn't the loss of Gale (who really cares), but that Jesse had to take that leap. And hell, he took that leap and killed a man for Walt without knowing (and still doesn't know) that Walt purposefully let Jane die. I think I just care more about Jesse than Walt.

Walking Dead anyone? With the lack of zombie movies lately (seriously it has been a year or two, what the heck?) this fills the void nicely.

I'm definitely in on Walking Dead this season, but I wasn't able to watch last night, and may not be able to for several more days.
I now have Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire, and Homeland (which is really, really good so far) all on Sunday nights now.

Wasn't too impressed with S1. Characters are cardboard and 2D. Last night's opener was better, IMO. More streamlined, more tense. Less ridiculous meandering dialogue. Still, the characters just leave a ton to be desired. Norman Reedus is the only one getting the job done.

Reedus is definitely the best one on Dead so far.
The premiere was certainly better than the ending of last season which was something to be desired IMO. I do like them all being on the move.

As someone who has been a fan of Walking Dead for a while and regularly reads the comics, I have to say I'm disappointed in the direction they've taken the show.

Let me just say again, if you're not watching Homeland you're doing it wrong.
This week's episode was some of the best television I've seen in a long time. Freaking awesome show.

Can you guys believe Community is getting put on hold/hiatus for the next few months so that NBC(or whichever crapshoot channel its on) can try new shows? Swear to god if Community gets canceled I will boycott all non-cable shows. Already I believe Community will be 'dumbed down,' due to a release that most of the jokes are above the average viewers head.

I've officially given up on Sunny...definitely ran its course. It doesn't help when the show following it up is funnier -----> The League is still fresh and funny.

The Jersey Shore episode was the only really good episode this season. They could at least start by abandoning the Mac being fat joke. It has yet to be funny in any episode this season.

Walking Dead season two has been a disappointment so far. Are they really going to spend the whole season looking for this little girl? It's so long and drawn out.

If we were in the same position, we'd all look for the girl as long as it took. It's realistic. But damn is it boring on TV.
