Talked about it on MOR last night, the Mavs have hit the superstar lotto with Dirk. He's a beast on the floor, but he's also a very nice guy off the floor. He's also very, very funny. He likes to give me a hard time, but it's all in good fun. Dirk mockingly gave Sefko some love for breaking the story about Azubuike in San Antonio. It also just shines more light on the fact that he's one of the biggest readers on the team, which would surprise you if you didn't know that.

Pretty amazing.. At the end of the interview dirk remembers Dans daughters name and tells him to tell her hi for him. Really a treat having this dude to root for.

You know Brian Cardinal does. In fact, he was probably there for the interview, lurking.

Gotta be a way to delete posts right... because that post was totally wrong in this thread. Then again I think he posted it just so we can argue why Dirk isn't on some random list from spurstalk of all places, like anyone of us would care what spurstalk has to say.

Why would anyone expect Dirk to get respect from a Heat fan on a Spurs board??
Think...

So... the brilliant "Dirk fan" who says that Barkley was right and Dirk is done treats us to a completely unrelated random post about the top players in the league posted by some other brilliant fan on freaking spurstalk as a means to somehow add to the Random Dirk is Great Thread. Thanks?

As a regular spurtsalk poster, I can guarantee you that Dirk gets more praise there than pretty much anywhere else.

Yes that's true, but some posts are just beyond ridiculous and it is worth to share them, lol.
I mean, how can you make a list of 15 players....and still forget the finals MVP. But that's how message boards work. I got it.

The Greatest..
http://www.hardwoodparoxysm.com/2012...and-reminders/
"
This isn’t a shot that should exist. It shouldn’t ever be taken, and it shouldn’t ever be made. If a shot like this is possible, regular, commonplace – what do we know about high-percentage basketball? We learn that it doesn’t always apply. The giants of the game, the great ones that are widely remembered beyond last season, aren’t interested in what seems “possible” or easy, for better or for worse. They operate on a different plane of sport, above the outstretched hands of the opponent and the expected outcome of the fans. Dirk is one of these players, perhaps the greatest testament to impossible success and unlikely perseverance.
What sets Dirk apart from this notion of accelerated triumph in the final moments of competition is the sheer normalcy these shots exude when leaving his hand. They aren’t insane, heroic shots for Dirk. They’re just typical . When Dirk steps back with a hand in his face, turns his seven-foot frame, and releases an impossibly high-arcing jumper into the ether, it’s not a surprise when the ball bounces perfectly off the backboard and into the basket for a game-winner. It just is. Hedo Turkoglu can only stare and shrug, perhaps returning to the moment Dirk whispered, “Bank,” seconds before his climactic basket silenced the Amway Center crowd.
