After also signing Theis and Yabusele today, the Celtics now have 16 guaranteed regular contracts for 15 spots. Someone is not going to be there. They've done this the last couple of years.

My guess is Larkin is purely insurance in case Isaiah Thomas is having trouble with his hip. Those two are not a great fit on the same roster.

I have no idea what it will take to get Irving, but I'm almost positive that some team in the West that isn't the Mavs will trade a handful of garbage for him.
