this team is much worse without Harris. Our offense looked as broken as its been anytime in the last 10 years
Actually the worst all around performance Ive seen out of these guys. Boston was bad too luckily or else we woulda been blown out by 25

I thought the same thing as he started the drive.. I was hoping it would be a kickout to dirk. Why wouldn't he go for his bread and butter clutch 3 over something he doesn't do in any other situation even when we want him to?

44% shooting - Dallas
42% shooting - Celtics.
We had more FTA, and the 3 point makes were about the same.
I don't get it

Come on guys, JET was trying to bank it off the shot clock. That's the oldest trick in the book
I wonder what kind of odds you could've got in the off-season on New Orleans to win the division...

Ah well, we'll see them again in March.
I hope both teams are at full strength.

The Mavs absolutely are horrible in the last two minutes of ballgames. With 17 seconds left.... down by 2. USE THE CLOCK! GET THE SHOT AND EITHER SEND IT INTO OT OR WIN THE GAM! DO NOT let them have the ball back.

First Terry can't make a damn drive, then he screws us with a sucky pass. I'm done watching Dallas until they show me they can finish a damn game...

well C's made 5-11 we made 4-22....thats the difference right there. to many 3's late in the shot clock. say the mavs take only 15 3's, they would probably end up making a few more baskets
WTF is up with J-Ho did he even suit up in the 4th.....i love his quick starts but how do you disappear for the 2nd half

When you can't get a stop to save your life (a la Sac) then your best defense is your offense. Walk away with the shot.
Just like they did against the Clippers twice, Toronto twice, Milwaukee, etc.

so you want the mavs to hold the ball for 17.7 sec and most likely ending up having to heave a fadeaway 3 pointer much like they did all game bc of the C's defense, no thanks...at least JET attacked the basket

They've closed out plenty of games this year. Get over it.
The offense without Harris has really, really regressed. Maybe it's the effects of Terry not being the starting PG for most of this year, I don't know. But, despite shooting a decent percentage tonight, they just looked really bad.

The second half reminded me of the year after Nash left--Nelson just let Dirk do as much as he can and nobody else did anything.
Dirk led in scoring, rebounds, assists and blocks--after Howard's quick start, nobody else did anything at all on offense.
Without Harris, the Mavs looked like the only way they could score was to iso Dirk--and he was getting double-teamed. Someone else needs to step up and score.
Makes me really miss Jerry Stackhouse.

Stop talking about the end of the game. Geez.
They started 3 for 12. Talk about that.
Or Eddie George...talk about that.
Or all the times that JET held the ball for most of the shot clock and then initiated a broken play with 5 seconds on the clock.
Or the lack of Josh touches in the 2nd half.
Talk about that.

Boy that was a painful loss, jason terry just proved to me that he is not a real point guard. JJ Barea should have started not JET, JET always holds the ball for too long and he doesn't drive. I can't wait till Devin gets back.

Actually I'd prefer to have Dirk on the elbow where he had been the entire second half.... and force them to double. Then have Jet, Eddie Jones, Josh Howard, and George on the floor to shoot the 3 if the double comes.
Put what do I know? It might not have worked. But then again... it couldn't have been worse than what Avery drew up.

I cant believe everyone here is bitching so much after this game. It was a close game throughout, both teams played good defense... Just with Harris out, we did not have an equivalent to Rondo. Grrrreat defense by Boston in the last minute. When you have the best defensive team in the league playing their best defense in the moment of truth.. its going to be hard for Terry of all people to decide once out of a hundred to drive to the hoop and make it. Also hard for EVEN DIRK to make a shot. It was damn good defense, and Im not going to feel too bad about this game. Stop bitching.

Devin and Stack were sorely missed. Stack looks to post up every opportunity he gets, and Devin does what Devin does. We needed both tonight, in the biggest way.
Too bad people will look at this game as the Celtics winning without KG, when our injuries may have hurt us just as bad. We literally could not run an offensive set.
