found this just now on nba.com UBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Dallas Mavericks center Erick Dampier has been taken to a hospital in the Detroit area after becoming ill.
Dampier was out for Sunday's game against the Detroit Pistons.
The Mavericks said Dampier became ill before the game, and was taken to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital for further tests. He was accompanied by Mavericks trainer Casey Smith.

at least SM has not nearly his full jumping ability...never had it since his presaison injury. i think he will be much better once there will be an opportunity to rest or sit some games out when TT or/and JH will be back. Lets face it..theres no real other real sf beside JH and SM and the Mavs are really shorthanded right now

Now why would you ask a question like that in this forum knowing the hate your going to get from it?.....anyway I'm looking forward to see what kind of role Thomas is gonna play on this team and I still hope he can hit the 3-pointer because that's the main reason the Mavs went after him.

Mavericks were 16-53 the last three games from three point range. That's just barely 30%. If Tim Thomas can come back and hit some threes, I'll gladly welcome his return.

Opponents 42%. We are 4th in point differential at +7. With our volume shooter, like Jet starting slow, things should all balance out as the season progresses. The defense is something you can bring every night.
