The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse: You cannot post “Thou shalt not steal,” “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” and “Thou shalt not lie” in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment.

Fun stuff the travel advisory for U.S. citizens visiting Europe...
Quote:
"I would think regular mass transit would be fine, but you don’t want something that says, hey, busload of Americans."
– Avoid certain clothing that could identify you as an American, Hamilton said.
"Notice that Europeans, for the most part, do not wear shorts unless they’re participating in athletic activities," Hamilton said. "Very few people, other than Americans, wear sporting shoes - sneakers – around when they’re out for a walk."
On the whole, though … you're much more likely, I think, to be the target of a criminal attack or some sort of random accident [than a terrorist attack]," Hamilton said. "If I had plans to go to Europe, I'd go in a heartbeat, and I'd have a nice time. And I would try to … keep my eyes open for abandoned parcels, strange behavior and try not to stick out in a crowd."
|
I think there are more germans wearing NYY gear than New Yorkers. So, if you come over, don´t forget to bring your Yankees-cap. ( Mets would identify you as american :-) )

Howdy.
You'll be able to start posting new threads after you have enough posts (I don't remember if it's 10 or 50) - we do that to keep the spammers out.

After being an underachieving student since 7th grade, not applying to any colleges because I was destined to community college due to GPA and skipping school so much, not taking the SATs, going to community college less and less while working more and more.... I finally buckled down and did a year of real school work and...
just got accepted to Washington State University.

I just realized that in "Isn't she lovely" by Stevie Wonder... he's actually asking if she's lovely... "hey guys, is she pretty? I can't see"...

"Why four words," he lamented. "Why not four sentences?"
Yet something sinister lurked in the thoughts unsaid, for in four sentences, his lack of punctuation could have described the universe twice-over.

Why, are there a whole bunch of people running unimpeded behind the counter and dropping stuff into the private wastebasket?
