Artest was tempted to "go for 30" vs. Mavs with Marion and Stojakovic guarding him. "It would've been real easy, but it's not my role."
What an idiot

I just noticed during the Bynum flagrant a Mavs fan behind the Lakers bench threw his bottle of whatever at Bynum but it flew over him and he got immediately escorted out of the arena.
Shame it didn't hit him in the face.

I swear if I hear one more ESPN analyst say LA defeated themselves Dallas had nothing to do with it I'll take Chuck with me and visit LA.

Chuck already went to LA - he came back with 2 wins...

What is so utterly dumb about it is how else could the Mavs have won? It seems like the better the Mavs played, the more it was still about the Lakers.

The NBA has suspended Andrew Bynum five games to start the 2011-12 season for his hit on JJ Barea. He has also been fined $25,000.

Well he'll lose a lot more from not being paid during the suspension. I do wish he'd gotten more games though.

It's going to cost him roughly $677,272 in salary. And again, this is considering they start the season right away. He, and everyone else, might lose more based on a lockout.

Should've been $100,000 / 20 games...
Looks like that "apology" went a long way (and I guess Stern didn't want any snags in a Howard-for-Bynum swap...)

There is not a Howard-Bynum deal. Do not believe them. There are no deals there. Never.

Mavs need to keep that in mind in the upcoming playoffs. Taking out a player is pretty cheap. NBA is ridiculous.

Should suspend him for his next 5 playoff games.. Bigger checks and bigger ramifications.

I don't know if any of you all watch Norm MacDonald's Sports Show, but they just did a funny segment called "Pau'd" (like Punk't) where they went around LA with this dude who looks a lot like Pau and got people all excited about meeting Pau. Too bad the guy's name is Michael Fanter.

well, and then there is roron's explanation of his foul: "I don't like to dwell on things too much. It shouldn't have happened. Reaching out for a foul and the guy is 5-2, I'm reaching down. There's only so much down I can go. His face is right in my hand."

Haha. I know. That sweep was what got me think maybe I should try to make another (4th) account. I do notice some of you guys are picky on spelling and grammar, just heads up, I'm an asian, living in Asia. Don't get TOO picky. HAHA.
Just sad I won't watch playoff games this year though, except for replays. I just noticed that 70-80% of the time I don't watch the Mavs in the playoffs, they win. If I watch, well, havent SEEN them win in the playoffs since 2006. LOL.
