The NBA trade market has been slow to develop so far during the 17-18 regular season. There could be movement beginning with the G League Showcase this week.
"It is pretty slow so far," said one general manager. "Nobody seems desperate to get into the playoffs. The tankers are sellers, but asking prices are too high."
DeAndre Jordan could be the biggest name who could potentially be traded before the deadline.
"He's a difference-maker, but I'm not sure anyone thinks he puts you over the top," one GM said.
Teams are more reluctant to give up picks in deals that don't include frontline starters and the 2013 trade between the Celtics and Nets has scared teams off.
"No one wants to end up embarrassed like the Nets were," one Eastern Conference GM said.

Brad Stevens looks like an absolute genius for making Crowder look as good as he did in Boston.

This is exactly the "lane" the President of the Coaches Association's should be in, otherwise what's the point of handing that title to anyone?

And yet, Fisher would be the first to say we shouldn't accredit the average joe who has an opinion on twitter. And he trashes Skip Bayless every chance he gets for not being a serious journalist.
But hey, we need to respect writers that fly to Lithuania that make sure we get the Lavar Ball quote on Luke Walton.

@MavsDraft: How are the Hawks so good at tanking? They're even getting DeAndre to make free throws

@TheSteinLine: The Pistons have joined Utah in expressing trade interest for Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic, according to league sources
@TheSteinLine: The prospect of Mirotic being moved before the Feb. 8 trade deadline looks increasingly likely, league sources say, with a deal potentially hinging on the level of draft compensation Chicago gets
@KCJHoop: Can confirm Pistons have shown preliminary interest in Mirotic, per source. @TheSteinLine 1st. Also told Portland could join mix with Jazz and Pistons. Bulls motivated to get 1st round pick for Niko.

I like Mirotic. Solid player that would make us better.
That's why I'm glad we're not in the talks (and hopefully not secretly)

Quote:
What's the story?
The Big Baller Brand has received an F from the Better Business Bureau which is the lowest rating possible.
In case you didn't know...
The Better Business Bureau gave an A-plus to Nike and has currently given Adidas a D minus.
The heart of the matter...
The Organization’s website says that the rating given to the Big Baller Brand is based on 32 complaints filed against the business, a failure to respond to 12 of those complaints and five complaints that still haven't been resolved. The majority of the complaints are from the people who purchased items in the month of November and December from the Big Baller website, but their item has not been delivered to them even though they have been charged for the same.
LaVar Ball when asked about these ratings, told ESPN in a text "Better Business Bureau is as outdated as the Yellow Pages, Who cares about them? Tell them that Yelp! has replaced the Better Business Bureau. We honestly thought the Better Business Bureau was out of business. The new BBB stands for the Big Baller Brand."
The Better Business Bureau's ratings are meant to represent "how the business is likely to interact with its customers," according to the organization's website. The BBB takes into the consideration the complaint history filed by the customers and also how the customer was responded to by the company.
Ball expects people to complain about delays during the holidays as he said "Holidays always slows shipping. But we stay on top of customer service. It's probably Nike and Adidas complaining about not getting their Big Baller Brand merchandise."
What's next?
Although most of the complaints are during the holiday season, still the brand has been knocked for providing poor customer service. Let us see what LaVar Ball does to improve the customer service of his brand.
Author's take
The Big Baller Brand has been knocked for not providing refunds and therefore if you are considering buying any product from this brand, do so at your own risk.

Once again, anyone who actually watches the two players can see the Frank is nowhere near DSJ in terms of development.

2OT and Frank only played 18 minutes, losing time to Jarrett "Journeyman" Jack... Finished with 0 points on 0-3 shooting with 3 assists and 3 turnovers.

@espn_macmahon: Chris Paul didn't seem surprised that ref Scott Foster called him for a technical foul: "There's history there. He the man. That's who they pay to see."

This will be a trust test for laissez faire Adam Silver. Is he going to rightfully suspend the head of the players union or just roll over and not doing anything? Stern would hand out 5-10 game suspensions without blinking.

Why can't the Rockets use whatever locker room they identify with?

@townbrad: A lot of folks who seem surprised that several Rockets attempted to crash Clips’ locker room last night apparently forgot Dec. 27 of last season, when Trevor Ariza and several teammates waited outside Mavs’ locker room for Salah Mejri.

Wow I saw this story late. Houston being classless as always. So it's no surprise their fans are actually happy about this child ass behavior. I'd be so upset if the Mavs were in contention and they let a team like the fkin clippers rattle them so much in the regular season they gotta orchestrate a way to confront them in the locker room. Houston going nowhere again, because they are so soft they have more fight off the court then on it.

Of course it's Ariza and Gerald Green who gets suspensions. Not league darlings Chris Paul or Harden.

Soft team is soft. Ariza thugs it up, again, and their 2 "leaders" turn out to be beta followers instead of being leaders and stopping Ariza from being an idiot. Shame the NBA didn't suspend them or heavily fine the Rockets organization for doing this sort of thing 2 consecutive years, something more to show this kind of behavior is not ok... but hey when they do it again next year and it escalates nobody will be surprised. And until then we can all watch them whine and cry about no calls while flopping their way out of the playoffs behind the 2 softest "leaders" in the NBA.
Rockettes play GSW this weekend. It's no surprise they shrunk under the idea of suspending the Rockettes best players for a rating game like that. What a joke.

I mean, the NBA did their investigation and found Ariza and Green to be the most agitated. There were reports from Woj that most others were trying to deescalate the situation. Whether that is cover up for the bigger name guys or not, speculating isn't the best. As much as I dislike Paul and Harden, and their respective games, I'll stick with what the NBA and lead reporters found out. That is best to get by this fake ass drama and get back to basketball, hopefully.
