I have no issue with what LMA is doing, it is one of the most important decisions of his life

Wes + DeAndre + LeMarcus
I'm just kidding, but what if?
I don't really mean it.
I swear.

That's kind of the impression I get as well. For whatever reason he's really adamant on playing the 4 spot. I'd be shocked to see him go to a team that doesn't have a solid 5.

I mean... you could Sign Wes and LMA... and SnT Monta for Hibbert.
Actually with cap holds I doubt it.

We only have enough for Matthews and a max if we renounce Ellis.

Have a gut feel that Portland may get back in the mix here. Just sounds like SA and PHX don't have the money right (or a gutted roster if they do). And now that Lilliard is locked up LMA knows he has a second star. Oh, and the extra $22MM

Unless we somehow managed to land Aldridge ourselves, that would probably be the best-case scenario for us -- Spurs don't get any better, Phoenix replaces Portland in the standings, and we land Markief Morris in a S&T for Tyson Chandler.

Phoenix wouldn't have to ship out Morris if they miss out on LMA would they?

Not sure if it'd work money wise but wouldn't Phoenix prefer dealing with Portland in a s'n't scenario? We would be competing with them for one of the last few playoff spots presumably. Portland is lotto bound Markieff or not

If Phoenix lands Aldridge they won't be worried about battling for a 7-8 seed. Aldridge salary will be harder to match than Chandlers.

Is he the less volatile of the twins? I think it was Marcus that went CRAZY on Jeff Hornacek(more so than Rondo) in the huddle after a stupid foul he got that led to a technical. Actually I think both were good at getting techs. They are talented but they dont seem to play smart in that area.

One of the important messages from Aldridge was that he wasn't going to play center and he wanted to go to a team with a mission to win it all

Not sure there is a way to sign him with paying both Matthews and DeAndre.

I've seen some ideas. Not sure if those ideas are legal but I'm sure the Mavs can figure out something if given the opportunity

Wonder if he would even consider signing for MLE knowing we would max him out for 5 years the following year and would probably net more over the 6 year period considering the extended cap next season.
Injury risk would certainly kill that notion but it is a way to make it work.

Man could you imagine if Aldridge takes lesser like Bosh did back in 2010 letting Lebron sign.

@iAmTerrace: LaMarcus Aldridge is doing what women have been doing for years.....Pretending to be interested for free meals & attention.

How are you going to offer him a 5-year deal without Bird rights?

I'll mortgage my house and pimp out my wife to buy season tickets right behind the bench if Aldridge finds a way to make it here.

Ok...4 years, but a crap load more per year than he'd probably get on a max deal this year.
It would essentially be back loading the contract...one hell of a back load.

@CR_Reina: The LaMarcus to the Spurs holding pattern has to be about them trying to get him to take less money.

If the Spurs get LMA the Southwest Division is going to be incredible...as if it wasn't last season.
Think of the big men in that division....(Gasol/Randolph, Davis/Asik, Howard/Montiejunas, Duncan/LMA, Jordan/Dirk).

It's been the Black & Blue division forever -- it's just getting blacker and bluer.

@KBergCBS: The Spurs, Suns and Blazers have separated themselves in the chase for LaMarcus Aldridge, two people directly involved tell @CBSSports.
@KBergCBS: One source stopped short of describing other teams (beyond obvious) as eliminated. But Spurs, Suns, Blazers at top of Aldridge's list.
I'm rooting for the Blazers...

I'm curious if Dallas would still be in the running for LMA if DJ hadn't committed.

The Mavs were never in the LMA race in the first place...

Hmmm..... It would be very complicated. Aldridge wants nothing to do with playing the 5 spot so we would have to trade for Hibbert via SnT.
Personally I think no way. Why would you choose that team over the Spurs. Our team is much better complimented by Mathews, Parsons, Dirk, and Jordan combo. If Aldridge was willing to play the 5 maybe, but he has been adamantly against it.
