Coco's save % is now below 80%. Just a note but this is terrible. Just when everything else starts to right, something has to be going wrong.

Yup, he's been very disappointing so far.

I still think he can right himself, but he needs to do so quickly.

I really wouldn't mind if they sent him to triple A, if he doesn't right the ship, so he can get his feel back. I know he can be one of the best, he just has lost it somewhere. But then he might get pissed about that.

I can say with a fair amount of confidence that CoCo does not have options. Sending him to AAA is certainly not an option.

Oh well, they are playing great. Blalock has seemed more similar to the player he was supposed to be when he came up. Seems to be going to left more than he did last year.

as long as Buck plays Laird more and Dickey stays as far away as possible from this team (DFA'd last week), I will enjoy this season, it looks like.

just wait. Barajas will get hot and go on a tear for about a month. Once that is over, then we can sit him. BTW millwood last night did possibly the best job of fighting through a lack of control/stuff i may have ever seen. Also does he remind anyone else of john burkett when he was with the giants?

Laird is clearly the better player, and Buck is an idiot for not switching the playing time for the two. Why wait for Barajas to maybe go on a tear when you have a better full-time option sitting behind him?

Blown save #4. It's April 25. God, that's depressing. Is it bad that I now expect it & sort of cheer for it a little when I see it happening b/c that would mean eventually Buck will have to DO SOMETHING about this problem? It's not a matter of if you believe in his ability, we've seen what he can do. It's that you can't trust this guy right now. How the hell can this team trust him?

I wish they could change the scoring rules in cases like this. It's sick that Coco gets two wins on badly blown saves.

Nice late-inning offensive heroics again though.

I feel the need to say some positive things since we did win & all. The starters have been... pretty not-bad lately. Not bad at all. Otsuka has been pretty fantastic. Hank's looking so much better this year. Traditionally, his demise comes in the second half, but for now, I'm just glad to see him doing his thing. Mench has homered in 5 straight games (amazing what a half-size in shoe can do). And no one's really talked about it that much, but how about Phil Nevin? He's up to 20 RBIs now. I will take that, especially since I went into the season expecting to get NOTHING out of him.

Kind of weird how pretty much our biggest problem now is one no one was really thinking about coming into the year. We so need a new closer.

Oooh, sorry to go right back to being negative, but I just looked up Dan Johnson's stats. I knew he was doing bad, but I didn't know it was 4-for-48 going into the game bad. He was batting a healthy .083, people. Oh my God.

Having said that, the leash needs to be REALLY, REALLY, REALLY short.

When is Buck going to realize that he has to bench Coco? He needs to go to middle relief or to the minors. Another blown save. I heard he was on pace to blow 24 saves this season. DAN FREAKING JOHNSON gets a hit off him. He was batting FREAKING .100!!!!

How many blown saves do we give him before he gets it right? The team is trying everything it can to stay in this race and "contend" and Coco is doing everything he can to blow that. He needs to get his shit together immediately and do something about this. When Dan Johnson gets the game tying double off you, something is terribly wrong with you, either you are hurt or you have a serious confidence problem right now. And those are 2 things you can't have when closing out games.

I agree, I think his confidence is shot. But I don't know how it gets better if you relegate him to mop up duty.

I'm not saying there's an easy answer. All I'm saying is, for this team to contend, CoCo has to be its closer, or we have to go get one. We do not have enough reliable arms to move everyone back an inning and move CoCo to mop up. I for one, and NOT ready to trust Benoit with the 7th.

They need to put Coco on a DL stint and give him some time off. He is getting booed liike crazy. Mabey when he comes back he would feel refreshed. If that doesn't work then look elsewhere. Once we get Frankie back, move Otsuka to close. He can do it. He has done it before and he has been pretty good so far. Move Coco to Alfs spot, then Frankie, then Otsuka.
