I don't see how a DWill/JJ team is good enough to get to through the Eastern Conf finals. No way that team challenges Miami. If Williams wants a ring, he has to come home to get it. If he wants to be the toast of Broadway.. well I don't see the team they are putting together as any more talented than the Knicks, and no more likely to win a championship.
Come home, Deron. Your Ma is dying to babysit.

the nets-dwill meeting is lasting longer than most probably expected. making me think that dwill has his mind on the mavs and nets are trying to convince him otherwise

someone on the db.com boards said bucher announced on espn that the meeting had ended. he also said deron to the nets was a foregone conclusion with jj on board. again, that last part still seems like more speculation, but that may be just me.

Due to my pessimism, it doesnt sound like dwill is coming to dallas based on yalls posts. But im holding out for dwight if in fact dwill resigns with nets. But since dwight said there is only one team (nets) he wants to go to, hed probably act like a douche in dallas. Who knows. Im ready to stop stressing

According to Shaun Powell...
Whenever the subject of Dwight Howard returning home someday to play for the Hawks was raised, Dwight (softly) shot down the idea. Since leaving the ATL outta high school, he's never lived there in the off-season, never warmed to the idea of returning. For any reason.

Of course, we are talking about Schizo Dwight who will change his mind at the drop of a hat

You haven't been paying attention very closely...
The Joe Johnson signing is a clear indication that Brooklyn has given up on Dwight, and possibly even Deron Williams... And Dwight came out with a new list that included Dallas -- and only Dallas -- as his primary destination since Brooklyn seems out of the question.
If anything, the idea of joining Dirk/Dwight/Deron is more realistic now than it has been in the past year... Not that it'll happen, but the chips seem to be falling in the right place - absolutely nothing has been lost so far.

From your post to God's ear....I drink to that!
If Dwight somehow is near Dallas the MBT needs to bring the best world experts in mental health and make sure that whatever Howard has is curable by a pill, some class or rehab.

My head is spinning.
Just to clear, this whole Dwight Howard thing is not happening right or is this some kind of fall back plan?

The Nets showed interest in Lin and Nash and now add Dragic according to SI.com
Hedging the BET? or lack of confidence?
A source close to free-agent point guard Goran Dragic said the Raptors, Suns, Nets, Hornets, Lakers and Rockets have all expressed interest. The Rockets, for whom Dragic shined in the second half of last season, are said to be coming on the strongest. But Dragic, according to the source, has a serious interest in being part of a winning team and will consider that factor as much as the money. The source made it clear, however, that Dragic expects to be a starter for whichever team he joins.

Okay I'm in. How does it get done assuming that either/both nets/Orlando sorta play ball with the Mavs.
Does deron have to take a lot less money? And then Dwight just forces Orlando's hands to Dallas? What would Dallas have that is better than Johnny Capspace for Orlando. Or can cubes load up one more time and take on hedo.
What about the cba provision that allows you to stretch out contract payments? Can that be used for jkiddo for example. Say give him 15 over 8 years or so?

I'm hopeful but we have less assets than NJN.
Matrix/Roddy/Wright/resigned Ian/our rookies/future 1sts is still a 85% poo-poo platter for a franchise player.

I wish there were some quotes from Rick or Donnie but they probably aren't saying anything until news comes out.
Any chance of follow up meetings or do you guys think we'll know within 24 hours?
I recall LeBron met with certain clubs twice.

I just can't see Kidd trying to persuade D Will to go to Brooklyn and play for Avery "The Crazy" Johnson again. All these Kidd hints about playing another round of golf, need moar help in deciding, etc. makes me feel confident.
