JET/Shane Battier trade
Sorry I don't know where you guys find everyones salaries and such. Just asking questions; Would it be possible? Would we go for it? Would it help us? I think Battier's a pretty damn good player and The Rockets need a pg.

ok I found this. Battier has completed 3 years of a 6 year $36 million dollar deal.

I don't know why we would make this trade unless a third team was involved to bring in a piece that we need.
Josh is our starting 3 and that is the right position for him to play. No need for Battier. |

Houston declines as well. They just trade for Mike James and are stuck with Rafter Alston. Too much money tied up in point guards.

It doesn't make sense for either team really. We don't really have a spot for Battier, and neither does Houston for Terry. I think Houston would do this though, because adding a sharpshooter that can score 16ppg would be great for them to add to the tandem of Tmac/Yao.

I think it makes sense for both teams really. Battier would be a perfect 2 guard for us. He might not be as good as a shooter and scorer as JET, but he's way better defensivly, and is more mature and smarter at the game. Also a great leader, good with words. And is bigger who can guard the opposing teams SG/SF. I would be all over this trade if I was the Mavs, but maybe ask for a little more in return, possibly Spanoluis? He has still got potential to be a quality NBA player
