The new CBS double-header of 'Wipe-Out', and especially, 'I Survived a Japanese Game Show' makes for a fine two hours of television watching enjoyment on Tuesday nights....

I've caught a couple of episodes of 'Black Gold'... It's kinda interesting. I have a few memories from back in the early 80's involving oil rigs. Let's just say that it was a little tougher on the guys back then for the most part. But, it's an interesting series. And yeah.. a very dangerous way to make a living. My dad ended up with a partially severed spinal cord from his work in the oil fields.

Flaco, I watched Reaper when it aired originally. I thought it was very enjoyable. The cast seems to get along as friends (which is good when they're playing friends), and the Devil is just awesome. I thought that guy Sock would annoy the crap out of me, but he grew on me more and more.
Solid Show.

So I just finished the last season of The Wire. Absolute genious. My only quibbles would be I thought Season 2 was really subpar compared to everything else, and season 5 had me frustrated for a long time. Just seemed...over the top. But they figured it out in the end.
It speaks to the genious of the show that despite all the miserable criminals they chased, the character on the show I found the most despicable, or least got the most negative emotion out of me, by a mile, was just a regular cop.
And also that my two favorite characters were a stick up man and an addict.
Just a fantastic all around show.

Psych is a pretty witty show too, love that one.

got a secret.
can you keep it?
swear this one you'll save.
better lock it in your pocket,
taking this one to the grave.
if i show you,
then i know you wont tell what i said.
because two can keep a secret if one of them is dead.

I'm trying to fight through the last season of The Shield. I don't know how interested I am with it at this point. But, I've seen every episode up til now..so, I'll finish it out.

I agree. I think the strike really hindered pilots a lot, there's nothing I've seen that is remotely interesting.
I will be rolling with
Chuck
The Office
My Name is Earl
Heroes <--- which is on duodecuple secret probation with me
Pushing Daisies
Adding after xmas in January....
Battlestar Galactica
24
LOST
Scrubs
Reaper (maybe)

Chuck
Daisies
Lost
and I GUESS Heroes although I will definitely put an asterisk by that one. Two horrible season enders in two seasons. And people still clamor for it. I don't get it. But it's getting a semi-pass because perhaps last season was because of the strike....? I'm hoping so.
And I've given up on Galactica. I won't be watching the last 10 episodes of that one.

I'm shunning you, because you watch One Tree Hill
And thanks for reminding me about HIMYM...that's funny. I'll probably stack those up on the DVR and catch them during the xmas tv break.

How I Met Your Mother has lost a ton of steam. The Big Bang Theory is a much better comedy at this point.
Let's see, what am I watching this season...
House
Office
Chuck
Life
Lost
Big Bang Theory
Wife Shows:
Grey's Anatomy
How I Met Your Mother
Can't decide on Heroes. I think I'm just going to walk away clean.
And I'm going to slowly rewatch The Wire at some point, maybe during the fall/winter break.

haha. The only reason I watch OTH is because of the hot girls. Guilty Pleasure show? Not much pleasure lately since the writing is even more horrible...and ALBY watches it too! YES 2x shunned.
HIMYM -- I still love the character that Neil Patrick Harris plays. He is probably one of my favorite characters all time on TV. Dr. Gregory House is another.

Shows I'm looking forward to:
Dexter
The Office
House
Heroes (I totally agree about its inability to close the deal)
Survivor (maybe, we'll see how it goes)
Spring shows:
Lost (of course)
Big Love
BSG
Heck..I forgot about Life...if that comes back, I'll probably watch it too.
As for current shows:
Weeds (only 2 more episodes left!)
Big Brother (make fun of me, i don't care)
Ummmm....I can't really think of anything else....surely there is something I'm leaving out..

I have every single episode of Weeds on my computer. I have only watched 5 episodes however...I have heard very good things about this show. The leading actress/mom is pretty cute.

friday night lights is airing exclusively on DirectTV for the first 12 episodes. Then those 12 will be aried on cable/over the air. weird, i know.
I love how some of the heroes ads openly say "hey, we know our last season sucked and everyone stopped watching. but come back! it's gonna get good. we swear!"

So...FNLights is airing on DirecTV exclusively? Where?
My shows:
House
Heroes
FNLights - Excellent show. It is very well written and acted.
Chuck
Pushing Daisies - Let's see how Chuck and Pushing Daisies fair in their 2nd seasons.
Lost
Criminal Minds
CSI: Vegas
Many of my shows had some really, really poor writing last year. CSI Vegas will probably be a show I dump at some point this year especially with Petersen gone. I love Dr. House on House, but the show was terribly written last year. Heroes has been up and down with the writing. So, I'm basically open to suggestions at this point when it comes to my viewing habits.
I also still catch alot of The Family Guy and The Simpsons.

House was a bit frustrating for most of last season, but you can't deny the greatness of the last couple episodes, can you?
And I'm fully prepared for Chuck to lose a ton of steam this season. I think it's inevitable, much like My Name is Earl did.

Actually, I didn't like the last two episodes. I thought that, medically, they were a bit too ridiculous to believe.
I love House, but the show lost some steam last year.
