We are screwed without Lively.
If this isn't a wakeup call to Kidd and Cuban then I don't know what is.

Holmes needs to play in place of Powell and they need to make a trade for a legit 7 footer who is capable of playing starter minutes if needed.

They simply can't expect a rookie to carry the entire load for an entire season.

He could get 40 minutes of solid center play on defense and rebounding if he sticks with Lively/Holmes combo

But he won't because Powell is a locker room leader and good pick setter 😂


I also think Exum is the most underrated defender on this team. Imo he's better than Williams, Green and DJJ

His length allows him to matchup 1-4

Was that some zone defense the mavs were playing last night? that's the only explanation i have for Kyrie being on Lebron at the end of the game last night but i can't tell from the highlights for sure. I think there were other times in the game when it looked like they were playing some type of zone. Anyone able to clarify?

FWIW i have no issues with an occasional zone defense to throw the other team off. it'd definitely depend on the situation though.

I dunno, he recently trashed Powell and only played him 5 minutes this game. Maybe even Kidd is getting sick of how awful he is.

But re-signing him was so stupid. At least Josh Green is trying to earn his money lately. Powell is cool with sucking.
