The good/bad news is that 11th is probably out of reach.

The bad news is it looks like we're headed for 10th. Same number of losses as #9 Warriors (who are peaking right now) and only 1.5 games ahead of Lakers who are also trying to finish strong

Maxi and Tim have finally solidified themselves as not serious players. They are embarrassingly bad.

And you know what, we lost by 4 points. Guess who shoulda played those 15 meaningless minutes Tim played? I bet we win had Hardy played.

Worst part is the team looked scared. Can't believe that. That lies on the coach. I don't blame everything on Kidd this game, but your team should be out for blood.

Kidd and THJ are the main two reasons this team is not taking a step forward. No more excuses for Kidd, and everything about THJ has been said, yet we keep seeing him get 6th man of the year minutes. It's baffling.

Well I was at the game, and it's really such a F U to fans to play like that. The crowd was ready, but the team didn't even show up after the first 3 minutes. Not an empty seat in the arena.

Fans were leaving with 9 minutes left, and they had every right to.

Its Kidd and staff... AND the shit defense. None of our guards and wings can play defense. Thj is a tiny piece of this shit show. He shouldn't be given minutes so that falls on Kidd.

Idk how long its going to take people to realize Luka and Kai is not the build. It's painfully obvious.

No. Everything was forced, low energy, no dots connected nonsense. It's the lack of drive and grit that kills me

Early Don Nelson teams were talentless, but they played their asses off. That's when I really became a fan. Guys like Erick Strickland had heart.

Luka and Kai cant stay in front of their men and arent gritty through screens and defending PnRs. Then you bring in Thj who is somehow worse but he compounds the issue by taking absolutely horrific shots.

Replacing Kidd should happen immediately but it wont. Hopefully it will happen after our fart and fall down play off experience.

I'd be moving Kyrie this offseason, too. Ive been saying this for months but im sure we will keep trying to piece guys around him and Luka to make the effort and short comings passable.

Bottom line is, we cant hide 2 starting star guys on defense. You could get by if Luka was the only real defensive weakness. You could game plan around that.

Not much is going to change if THJ and Kleber continue to be key rotation players. The mavs are just too hell bent on keeping those long term guys around.

Also it should be obvious by now that PJ is an inneficient shooter. He's still the that same dude he was in Charlotte except here in Dallas he gets to start again because of the mavs lack of talent.

If truth be told DJJ imo should be starting. Dude will atleast try to attack the paint.

I would eliminate THJ and Kleber from the rotation and strictly go heavy on a bench trio of Gafford, PJ and Exum.

Fuck everyone else it's time to turn to a playoff 8 man rotation until you can get your ass out of that play in tournament spot.

Thats not true. I think that theory came from us relying very heavily on THJ when he was asked to do way too much. He didnt do much during our 7 game win streak. I guess it could be true that IF Tim knocks down a bunch of 3 and gets you 25 plus, we have a good chance of winning...but what team wouldn't if their 6th or 7th best player went off.

It's funny when you think and realize that THJ hasn't really accomplished anything noteworthy in his career. His only talent is hitting multiple threes in a row when he is hot and basically nothing else.

They made it all the way to the WCF's because Timmy wasn't around to jack up bad shots and play terrible defense.

People may not have liked DFS and Bullock but at least those two very rarely jacked up bad shots. They played within their skill set.

If DJJ starts, then it's Green to the bench. DJJ is not a 4 in this league and would get torched.

I would run Luka/Kyrie/DJJ/PJ/Lively and then have Green stagger more minutes with Kyrie when Luka comes out. Green also provides better handles to work within those minutes and when Kyrie comes out. Two ball handlers at all times...

Actually, he is near the top of the league in drawing charges. But I think that's his strategy in an attempt to play defense which is effective maybe once a game. But yeah, if he doesn't hit his first few shots then he's best off riding the pine.

Another issue is Lively hasn't been the same player since the mask. I hope he doesn't have to wear it for the remainder of the season. His rebounding numbers are poor since the injury.

Can only take this team serious once they get a serious coach.

Defensive schemes alone should get Kidd fired. We also don?t have a guy yet on the floor directing traffic defensively.
