Super Bowl XXXIX Thread.
It's not on for another two weeks but let's start the suspense.
Sunday, Feb. 6 (6:30 p.m. on FOX)
Alltel Stadium, Jacksonville, Fla.
New England vs. Philadelphia
Predictions? I'm going with New England.

T.O. will be a non-factor. His mouth will work but his legs won't.
Patriots 33
Eagles 19

RE:Super Bowl XXXIX Thread.
they should just give the trophy to the pats right now
the eagles have NO chance whatsoever, TO or not..
they'll be lucky to score 10 points
i'm smelling a beatdown similar to the Pats Colts game
I like the pats, 31-7

Two Words: Tom Brady. That's all you have to know.

RE:Super Bowl XXXIX Thread.
each decade you have a dynasty..
60s packers
70s steelers
80s niners
90s cowboys
00s patriots
they will beat the eagles easily..

RE: Super Bowl XXXIX Thread.
Since everyone seems so confident that the Pats will win, I place my bet on the bEagles. I think Donny Mac and Westbrook wear down the defense and Chad Lewis makes the Pats pay for playing their linebackers as linemen. TO could be the biggest factor tho - just because he'll take attention off Mitchell, and not because he will push around Ty Law.

well, no chad lewis this game. maybe lj smith can step it up.
i don't think it will be a blowout. remember back to last year. that game was closer than many expected.
i think that if the eagles do win, westbrook will be mvp. he is the key to this game from philly's standpoint.

RE:Super Bowl XXXIX Thread.
best case for philly is that they mount a comeback in the 4th and then end up losing
they have no chance whatsoever

T.O. a No Go
He won't get medical clearance, but he still might play.
The AP is also reporting that before the AFC Championship game last weekend, Tom Brady was running a 103 Fever and was hooked up to an I.V.
The man has seriously earned my respect.

Defense is the story in this game so far. McNabb looks a little off throwing two picks in a row ( althought the first was called back due to a NE penalty ).

These refs are pretty dumb... They are still looking for the ball under the dog pile and an Eagle already has it way over on one side of the field, waiving it so everyone can see it.

Congratulations Patriots, you've just won your third Super Bowl in the span of four years! What are you going to do next?

RE: Super Bowl XXXIX Thread.
man... for every amazing, bullet throw mcnabb makes, he has some godawful throws. that duck in the first half (that harrison intercepted) could be the worst throw I have ever seen at the pro level.
and i know 46 seconds isn't a lot of time to get into field goal range when you have no timeouts, and you're at your own 5, but come on. horrible clock management. throw a dump pass to westbrook at the line of scrimmage (he should have dropped it, as there was no gain), and they let 20-30 seconds go off the clock!
their clock management with around 2-3 minutes left was horrible, too. if they had scored before the 2 minute warning, that would have been huge. but they wasted time in the huddle, and couldn't do it.
