Yu is pretty nice. I have a friend who scouts in Japan and he turned me onto Yu about 10-12 years ago now. Game 7 this is the man you want on the mound. I think his last 4-5 years he was essentially a Kardhashian in terms of sightings/media back there. He's probably relieved when spring training is coming up.

Any how, as an A's fan, Wash was a big loss for us. Definitely not a station to station guy sitting back waiting for the big bomb. Team is slowly molded into his image, Martin, Andrus, solid defenders speed on the bases. Offense will be no problem for Texas, Fielder was the smart pickup. It's the pitching, can the team be in striking distance when the pitching staff is back in tact, Holland and Harrison, alongside Perez and Yu. That's the key. Injuries throwing the west for a spin, Parker in Oakland, Hamilton in LA and Paxton/Walker in Seattle.

So Yu doesn't give up runs anymore? Cool Beans.

After 12 games: 6-6.

Prince needs to wake up and remember how to hit.

On the verge of an Oakland sweep. Got our pen in the first 2 and early runs on Sonny Gray today.

Hey, at least we have the minors. Gallo, Chi Chi, Mazara, Lu Jack, Rua, Alfaro, Williams, Garia, Klein (recently promoted to the show), DLS, etc...

2016 will be a really good year - sure am hoping 2015 will be as well health permitting, but we'll see.

Good riddance to a terrible in game manager. He's regarded by many to be the worst in game manager/head coach in all of the big 4 sports here in the US.

Default happy ending?

For anyone still following baseball, just wanted to rejoice that the A's and Angels both went down in a flaming heap of rubble... CJ Wilson and Josh Hamilton both stunk up the joint (Hamilton with a big donut for OPS for the series) and even Ian Kinsler managed to hit a whopping 0.083.

small consolation for a lost season... hoping the AL winner takes it - sick of seeing cardinals, giants, etc.

Rangers won as many post-season games this season as the A's and Angels combined. I'll take it.

Hahaha nicely put.

Was it bad to lose the top pick because of our hot streak at the end?

The #1 pick would have been nice. But perhaps it was better to get to see that the interim replacement for Wash could do the job well enough to do it full time next year.

International free agent spending number for the worst team...that's what I wish the Rangers had..
