A fan hopes their team wins, not believes they will always win. Not many fans think their team will go 82-0 and undefeated in the playoffs.

I think a person who predicts that a team that has not lost at home will win at home is a person who has watched some basketball over the years.

There is a difference between those that understand the difficulty of winning a particular game and those that predict outright losses.
