Brad Townsend doesn’t think this changes anything for Dipo’s situation. Someone asked him if this takes the Mavs out of the running for Oladipo.

I don't see Oladipo's situation as much different now than before the trade, so, no, though I greatly question whether he's the "missing piece" difference-maker.

I don't see him as being necessarily that either. Just an upgrade over DFS or Richardson. I'm not sure the "missing piece" exists for the Mavericks right now. Giannis was the missing piece.

Yeah. I thought that was a strange way to answer the question. I wasn’t aware anyone was saying this. Definitely could be a nice get though.
