The way Cuban treats players makes me sick. Good for JET. Cuban is quickly getting a reputation as an ass of an owner towards players.

Yeah, Cuban has been a real dick to Dirk...
His reputation is a top-5 owner and that will not change.

The question is who takes over Jet's role next season? Roddy? Carter? Possibly Roy?

Great. An undersized SG who can't shoot, and is too much of a puss to drive to the basket.
Yippee!

Yeah, I wouldn't take it as gospel just yet.
But, it does jive with my assessment of Jet, his pride, and his ability to make bigger sacrifices for a different team.

If it turns out it is true (which I really do doubt, and not just because I like the guy), I'll gladly concede that point to you.

Why should Jet choose DAL over BOS ? Let's get real guys.
Last time i checked JET is from SEA. One should not overrate his connection to DAL. And BOS is the perfect spot for him. There he can replace Ray Allen and do what he does(likes) best.

If he were a single dude, this post would make sense.

Is it because of the difference in years? Dallas won't break the two-year mark and JET has a three year offer on the table.

I lived in Seattle for a year as a single guy and it was absolutely amazing (in multiple ways, many of which directly related to being single). You really don't know what you're talking about, to be honest.
And regardless, that's totally irrelevant. Terry obviously isn't going to play NBA basketball in Seattle. The point was, when you've lived somewhere for almost a decade with your family (incl. 3 school-age kids), acting like it's easy to just up and move is absolutely ridiculous.

I was actually speaking about the attractiveness of the women in Seattle. So yeah, if you want to go hump hairy fat chicks all day, go to Seattle.

I really don't put much stock in anything Ben Rogers says unless corroborated.

I am quite sure that if the contracts are the same jet would choose dallas over Boston. Now if the Mavs are asking for a discount or less years, hell no and he shouldn't.

I lived in Boston for the three best years of my life. Much of that enjoyment was directly connected to being single. I a million times over prefer my BU/BC coeds to an SMU coed.

Again, I'm basing it on the women... Boston and Seattle just don't hold up in comparison the Dallas/Fort Worth. And again, I am not being serious when I say that I would choose a city to live in only based upon the women.. But, the cities aren't comparable as far as that goes.

Seattle is a huge, huge city with millions of people. There are TONS of incredibly good looking women there. Boston too.
To be honest, anybody I've ever heard complain about the women in a city like Seattle is the kind of person who isn't capable of attracting really good looking women anyway. If you're worth your salt, you don't need to live in a place like Texas, California, or Florida (which granted have a much higher % of smoking hot women) to pull one. I'm quite sure that if millionaire pro athlete Jason Terry were single, he wouldn't be fretting about not being able to find a quality woman in just about any major city in America.
But frankly, this is the norm for you. Seattle sucks for single guys. Boston too. New York sucks. LA sucks. Everything I've ever heard you say about other cities is provincial and closeminded.

Didn't Matt Damon work at Harvard in Good Will Hunting? So, a decent looking guy settled for Minnie Driver? Yeah, Boston is out.. That just doesn't work.

You forgot Denver.. Denver sucks... And Portland.
Well, if you like hairy women, Denver is awesome. So is Portland and Seattle. If you like women that can just lift up their arm and use their armpit hair to floss their teeth, Seattle/Portland/Denver.. they're for you. The worst thing about Denver is mediocre cuisine.
LA is a great place to find good looking women.. just too much traffic.
New York.. yeah, New York sucks.
There are some places that are pretty awesome.. Toronto, Austin, Boulder (it's truly amazing what a half hour drive will do for you). Chicago isn't bad. KC is rather so-so.. And in all honesty, Dallas would kinda suck if it wasn't for all the kick ass cities around it.
Jason Terry is married. Why are you trying to get him to cheat on his wife?
Sometimes you take things a bit too seriously.

Yeah, but Luke Wilson, who is < Matt Damon, scored Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde. So check your math again.

Reese Witherspoon.. she's moderately attractive, but I don't think it's anything to hang your hat on with regards to throwing out the best a city has to offer. You've seen those caricature drawings where the artist draws all the facial features to the extreme. Well, that's kinda what Resse Witherspoon reminds me.

Exactly. Reese Witherspoon is the cute girl who lived up the street from you as a kid. Nothing to write home about.
This conversation is hilarious/ridiculous by the way.

I think Reese Witherspoon is only slightly above average in terms of the type of women that a city like Boston attracts. She's better than Minnie Driver, at any rate.
But if a Jesse Eisenberg can get all hung up over a Rooney Mara in The Social Network, or a Kelsey Grammer can nab a Bebe Neuwirth like in Cheers, there is hope for every homely male in the Boston metro.

I'm not a big Rooney Mara kinda guy. I'd much prefer her sister. Again, it's nothing to hang your hat on. I have seen some pictures of her in which she is impressive.. but she's equally capable of looking like she's in serious need of a shower, shave and some deodorant. Hey, Longhorndub's kinda girl.

This offseason sucks...

This sounds like quite a scoop. Where did you hear this? An NBA star's twitter? Yahoo Sports? Dallas Morning News? New York Times? ESPN?

Kate and Rooney Mara, great-granddaughters of the founder of the New York Giants, Timothy Mara? Yeah, they might be New Yorkers...

I said that I would prefer her to her sister. And I said that I'd prefer her sister to Minnie Driver who went to Harvard. That doesn't mean that she's a top notch catch.
