Kaman and Collison suitors
So now that the Mavs have Mayo off their hands.... what teams can possibly get these two guys?
It looked like Portland was a destination for Kaman but with the Trailblazers getting Robin Lopez, I don't they will want Kaman now.
I'm not sure about Collson at all because I don't know if he wants to start, be happy with a contender, etc etc.

Collison's agent has said that he's willing to take a bench role with a contender and that all he cares about is winning. We'll see about that.

Well, if that is the case I hope he can find a decent team then. But if he wants opportunity to play big minutes he might try Philly.

And besides that it is the offseason, we are all waiting for Howard to make up his damn mind, I like talking hoops and at least it gives me something to think about basketball wise instead of the damn Howard Watch.

Collison to the Clips, per Stein. Sounds like a deal similar to what OJ signed with us last year, though the exact dollars weren't specified.

The clipper boats can have that clumsy kid. I'd roll with Devin Harris at this point instead.

The Collison signing devalues a lot of their bench shooters... Collison is a great option as a scorer off the bench, but his court vision is so limited that I feel like Dudley and Redick are going to be left wide open without getting the ball.

D.Collison went to high school out there (Rancho Cucamonga, California) and UCLA and played some of his best games while on our west coast trips. Just not a good fit here.

Lakers are the bright spot in this freeagency for me.
First they lose Howard after getting him for a protected first and a broken Bynum-- karma is a bitch.
Now they are sniffing at our leftovers in Odumb and Caveman?
Schadenfreude is marvelous.

Looked for it
Here is what i found
kaman to lakers ?
Sources: Chris Kaman, Lakers interested in deal
As Dwight Howard leaves Los Angeles, the Lakers and free-agent center Chris Kaman have a growing mutual interest, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Several other teams have expressed interest in Kaman, including Golden State, Atlanta, Sacramento and New York, sources said.
Discussions are still in the formative stages, but Kaman has a reputation as a hard-working, dependable 7-footer who can fill a needed role. - See more at: http://www.prosportsdaily.com/articl....xjUIAYcj.dpuf

Well at least they had the good sense to back away from the rumored 3-year deal. Yikes.

Well I hope he doesn't complain about that one year deal like he did with us.
Are the Lakers one of the worst defensive teams in the league right now?

The only good defense he's playing these days is shutting down Dwight-to-Lakers, otherwise he'll just be twiddling his thumbs as he watches from the stands.

He was. Basically since 2006 none of his All-Defensive 1st team selections have been deserved. He's been living off of reputation he earned in his early years. But since 6-7 years his defense has not been elite anymore. He can still give you solid defence (not great anymore, but solid) if he wants to, but he rarely does.
