Agreed, you find the team that can stay with their starters, and then shuffle to the hottest hand that can destroy the other teams bench.

Tyson Chandler going down tonight shows the difference between a championship caliber starting center and pretty decent center in Haywood!

Difficult to say where the team is heading to.
One thing is certain-we have a very deep bench which will be extremely important during the PO.
Chandler will be as well the key to success.
With his excellent help D he closes the gaps and imporved our D tremendously.

Roddy is for me yet the biggest question mark. Will he become our 2nd scoring option after Dirk or stay below everyones expectations.

One thing is certain for the rest of the season:
PO basketball is a different story than RS ball.
But I have a good feeling since our bench is as mentioned extremely deep.
Lets get the ring!

Mavs makes mistakes like last season. One month is not enough to eliminate old habits.
- easy turnovers
- not focus when leading is big
- bad Carlisle's rotation
- not defending near 3pt line
- problems with grabbing ball
- try jumpshots when they shouldn't

So all the points made yesterday:
- easy turnovers (Terry in 3rd, Dirk in last minute)
- not focus when leading is big (our lead in 4th was 10 points)
- bad Carlisle's rotation (no Brewer when we need to play better D)
- not defending near 3pt line (Kidd all the game stayed in paint, didn't defend somebody near 3pt line, in last minute he went there, but not to defend just make a foul)
- problems with grabbing ball (Marion goldfinger in 1st qtr action in our paint with Dirk))
- try jumpshots when they shouldn't (Beaubois has bad shot selection)

Well, to steal a line from a recent movie... the Mavs went from Kick @ss... to @ss kicked.

I hate to say it but it really does look like nothing has changed except for having a center that can score, im betting if this run happened before the trade deadline we would have made a move, sigh

first up we need a decent back up PF who can actually give us something off the bench and rebound hard because we have been giving up way too much second chance points recently and also we need carlisle to stick with a lineup that works. carlisle has been experimenting with the lineups for way too long now.

Have we seriously not won a game against a western conference playoff team since January? Good lord.
