Seems like Nellie would want to post Dirk up.

You'd think so.
Even though Dirk is 0-5, you know he won't stay that way.....and we are up 23-19. Can't complain all things considered.

Bayliss, Turbo...great points.
The rebounding edge is ours...and we need it to stay that way.
The one point guard scheme works for the simple fact that we play bigger.

I know this has already been said, but Najera is playing really well tonight. When he is doing the dirty work like he is it seems to inspire his teammates.

We had the Nat. Champs down by 17 and lost. That really sucked.
When Baylor beat us at home this year that was a tough loss for our fans and people started calling for Eddie to retire. You guys had one of your best seasons in a while.
Back to the Mavs. Has anyone commented on our D early in this series. We held em to 91 in the first game and looking good so far. Looks like w/o Pip they are having trouble creating offense other the 'Sheed.

Najera should play 5 minutes lapses. He has better numbers now than the last game in 28 minutes.

Dirk needs to break the seal with a post up or drive to the hoop. He is stone cold.

I thought about Dirk having a bad start into the game before it started, but that it would be that bad... If he's 0-3 or 0-5 doesn't matter, it's just that he didn't make a single shot yet...

And our defense is pretty solid as well.

Did anyone else expect more trouble from the Blazers. In the regular season games rebounding was a major issue. So far no problems since the second half of last game. If we can stay with them on rebounding, this series will be short.

I don't like Griffin and Najera in at the same time. They fill the same niche for intents and purposes.
Rotate them and both of their production goes up.

Hey Chiwas,
I learned to love Najera in college. He was the prime enemy of OSU for four years, but I never hated on him. I always respected him and got to see him play many great games while in school. I am very happy that he has found his role in the NBA. I have nothing but love for him now. I can't say that about any other Sooner player ever except maybe Quentin Griffin.

Where's Finley? I hope he doesn't come back cold.
Good thing to see Finley, Nash, Eddie, and NVE step up with Dirk struggling with his shot.
What the f**k is Dirk doing? 2 AIRBALLS so far.

Stats look like Dirk is just trying to hard, he attempted as many shots as Mike and Steve together...

Dirk needs to sit. That last turnover... what?
Also, don't like Griff and Najera in together from an offensive point of view.

The 2pg set did alright... I'm impressed. Mostly because we drained 3's on them for a while. Dirk and Eddie weren't on the same wavelength that last play, no biggie.

Nice to read this. I was afraid that he coudn't find a role in the NBA; I don't know how he missed his scoring ability; but Nelson rescued him, fairly speaking.

Dirk! You don't have to force so many shots.
He should position himself in the post and not try too many jumpers.

I think he threw it to where Najera WAS. Najera had cut into the middle and Dirk fired the errant pass.
BTW, that airball was teh liekly result of a foul not called.

Watch the Rasheed-Raef matchup for a few minutes. They were jawing at each other pretty good the last time down the court.

3 tos, 18% FGs, no assists, when is Nellie giving him a rest?
He already played the entire first game.

Usually that is the case, but not tonight. Both were airballs from rushing the shot.

Man.....if Dirk develops that drive consistently...he will be unstoppable for years.
Wallace is about to blow a gasket.
