Orlando hasn't won in Dallas in three years, but will showcase some decent young talent.
Injuries Calderon won't play according to Sefko, and will be a maybe for Wednesday and a probable for Saturday. Larkin (foot), Harris (foot), Wright (shoulder) are out. + a blk and a stl here and there i d like to watch his greatness, but it ll might be unwise to since i m in the middle of writing my final paper to finish my studies at the university.... well...i ve to say MAYBE i watch the game live ; ) |

13pts, 5reb, 3ast, 1blk, 0.5 ast on 60% shooting and 66% 3pt in only 23mpg, which is pretty crazy efficiency considering the limites minutes to get it done in.
Scale that up to 35mpg, and if his numbers continued, his numbers would be 20pts, 7.6rpg, 4.5apg, 0.8spg, 1.5bpg with crazy effective shooting. It's still preseason, but I'd be thrilled if he averaged an efficient 17-20 pts, 6-8 rebounds and 4-5 assists with fresh legs for the playoffs and guys like Ellis, Carter and others taking off the scoring load from the big guy. Thank God they're televising the game tonight. Hopefully Calderon can go, he needs to start building chemistry with Dirk + Monta. Also with Wright out I wanna see a lot of DeJuan Blair.

Anyone know where to find a list of what is being televised? Mavs.com only shows nationally televised games for me and ESPN isn't any better.

hmmm is dalembert the defensive version of Kaman? It seems like to me every time he gets the ball around midrange area he shoots the ball whether its a good shot or not.

It is looking more and more like Carlisle is trying to use Monta as the scoring punch when Dirk is sitting.
But man they really need to quit setting Dalembert up for that mid range j.... ugly. |

That 3 by Crowder was just a dumb shot. Dirk/Carter shooting that. Fine. But Crowder should never be taking a 3 that early...... he aint a shooter anyway.

Seeing as how we've emptied our bench in the fourth all three games, I'd put us potentially at 3-0. We were winning a close one against the Pelicans. We were blowing out the Grizz and tonight we had a 1pt lead before emptying the bench. Not too shabby. 1-2 definitely doesn't reflect how good the top 8-9 guys can be.
Honestly we were getting shot out of the gym all night-- everyone was hitting threes so we played on our heels. I do have the feeling that 3pt defense will be a weakness again this year, but most teams won't drop 10 threes on us that efficiently. Looks like coach wanted the boys to gut out a "win" before pulling them and they were able to do that despite shooting like crap and being shot out of the gym. Twice we were down 1-2, and twice Dirk and Ellis rained a three that gave us the lead and we held onto the lead going into the fourth-- when we emptied the bench and played Balkman/Ebanks/Ledo/Ellington/McConnell Dirk is ON. No rebounds (and rebounds were an issue this game), but an efficient 24pts in 25minutes is to die for. Ellis started cold, but got really hot and shifted the game in our favor-- winning the third quarter for us. Crowder was pretty disappointing. We are going to miss Marion when he retires. Mekel was okay and better than his stat line, but has a ways to go. Carter and Ellington came back down to earth after being out of this world earlier James' 5-5-1 line looks better than it was. Ledo is talented but ROUGH. He didn't play college ball and was used to being faster and stronger than guys in high school.
