Wait, is Jeremy Lin the first Polish-American basketball player to join the NBA?
This thread is confusing...

Don't quite understand this one, I'll just assume something is lost in translation and it's brilliant in Polish. ZING, UD. ZING.

Not in the slightest. I speak English and Chinese (Mandarin) on a regular basis, have the competency of a 3-year-old in Spanish, and know a smattering of phrases in Klingon.

I am serious, but you have officially reached creeper status. I'm back to being on UD's team. To answer your question: I'm not from Qo'noS.

With that said...
Jeremy Lin is a nice player, but this is not a huge loss for the Mavs in any way, sorry. Like thig said, guaranteed money for someone who had mediocre stats in a summer league? Take him.

Definitely, not a huge loss. Donnie is on the record as saying he's one year away, and guaranteed money for that, is a bit too much at this point....at least for a team that wants to contend and still is 1 major piece(2 guard) and 1 minor piece(backup PF) away from final 2.

You guys need to stop ragging my boy 41mvp. He has great enthusiasm. He reminds me in a way of our dear departed friend Romus. I never will forget his great line in the GDT:
"A lot foul tonight, cause great defense and much aggressivity!"

At least I can figure out what that means...
Please translate this gem by 41mvp regarding Lin: "This so as from Gortat in Magic he waste in this club.In Dallas he played in first 5."

He was saying that GW is a good fit for Lin, because he will get playing time there, whereas here he would have wasted away on the bench, like Gortat in Orlando. Were Gortat in Dallas he would be a starter.

Boy, you ain't never lied. I just went back and read all his posts. He was on a ROLL in the spring of '05. I would love to gather up the best of those posts (some of which read like a sort of haiku) and create a Random Romus Generator. That would be so, so cool.

Sounds like a good thread idea to me...the forum has been dead on the same topics for a good week now.

It's not a loss because we never had him. Now, we most likely could have and I hope it doesn't come back to haunt us later. Just because he is a year away doesn't mean we shouldn't be building pieces for the future. I'm going on record as saying now, "I told you so", mostly because no one will remember if he flames out

I believe that is a family of some sort of plant life, or vegetation if you will. Plus they sometimes make it into a musical instrument.
