Powell very active, like that were seeing him progressing in his game..
Still dont like how low Anderson goes before he pulls up for his shot. Extra movement that will get fixed eventually.

Powell has some range -- dude nailed a 3-pointer that got called off because of a foul away from the ball.

I know we may need a scoring punch off the bench but I dislike Crawford. Volume scorer, who is a major ball stopper.
I rly like Powell and Anderson, significant gap between them and everyone else.

Crawford looks like a lot of summer league guys; trying to earn a roster spot through the box score.
I expected Powell to perform well, but I'm really surprised at how polished Anderson looks... He's a lot less raw than most of our draft picks over the last decade.

Yeah - I'd choose Anderson over Jae Crowder now and forever. He's already a superior player, IMO.
And you're SO right about Jordan Crawford. That dude is an offense killer.

I thought he looked pretty good... Better than Crawford, for instance. Nice handle.

Thanks for the links. Powell looks really good. His shot looks good and he looks very quick off the dribble (not to mention he has some great handles for a big). Hopefully he starts taking those minutes behind Dirk, fending off Jeremy Evans and Charlie Villanueva.
Edit: can also tell Powell put on some weight. He looks like he's ready for some big-boy minutes.
Anderson looks good too but could stand to lose some weight and still has an inconsistent release on his jumper. Still very encouraging.

Watched the Anderson highlights. Liked the amount of threes he was knocking down. Didn't realize that he was a south paw. I'm not sure if that gives any sort of advantage like it does in baseball. Although perhaps most NBA players are programmed to defend the right hand as the strong side and they have to take a split second to remember that he's left-handed? IDK. Just thinking out loud.

Tall.
But not tall enough because his first shot attempt was blocked... Don't let the +/- fool you -- he's very, very raw.

Yeah, I'd guess 2+ years from having a legit chance. But that's fine. I love that he's such a hard worker, though. Makes me think that 2+ years from now he might be a decent role player. He's truly huge, though.

My first impression of him is that he is far too slow and not athletic enough for the NBA and will never have what it takes. Big but wasn't putting his large body on anyone when a shot went up and had no lift whatsoever.
I'd be shocked if he ever sees the floor as a Mav or in the NBA altogether.
Mark might love him but Rick is another story.

Singh has no business being anywhere near a professional basketball court. I don't care how tall he is.

This has got to be one of the worst summer league teams ever. We are terrible.

Pangos has got to be the worst point guard that I have ever seen in summer league. Mavs B team can't get started because the defense blitzes him and takes the ball from him.

yeah, it really looks like Anderson is just bored to death. He never really sees the ball but then he's really supposed to be "D & 3" guy anyway, right? This style of play doesn't work with him at all. Powell seems to fit a little better but there are times when he is wide open and doesn't get the ball.

Powell is a baller. Charlie V. is going to have a tough time getting backup minutes behind Dirk.
