I think that this is the best all-star game left. The pitchers still pitch hard and the batters don't hold any thing back either. But I really don't like the way that the voting takes place. Some one will always be left off, but the way Seattle and Japan stuffed the boxes for the M's is rediculous. My favorite part of the all-star weekend is the homerun derby any way...and I'm really looking forward to seeing the defending champion (Sammy Sosa) make it a repeat!

MLB All-Star game is and has always been, a Joke. The player most deserving to be there, rarely get the chance. It doesn't matter what kinda stats you put up, all that matters is the name on the jersey.
Anyway, I see A-Rod winning the Homerun Derby. The American league winning the All-Star game, and Ichiro being the MVP.

Last year Sammy crushed everyone, but the year before he only it one homer in the derby. It was a sad day...but that will all be forgotten after he repeats as champ!

A-Rod isn't participating in the derby.

Yes he is. Didn't you see the news tonight? Bud Selig has asked him to participate and A-Rod said he would grant him that wish and do so.

Oh...thanks for the update Rob. I'm glad he change his mind, but I'm gonna feel sorry for him after he starts to cry cause Sosa beat him so bad.

Yeah...but I think he's been out way too long to have a shot at the MVP. Rob...were you talking about the All-Star game MVP or the AL MVP?

Anyone knows who Chan Ho Park is ?
He is a Dodgers pitcher and he's Korean.
and he will appear in this year's all-star game.
He's had 15 consecutive quality pitching (quality start) so far this year.
The Major League record which is held by Greg Maddoux is 16.
He may break the record, Big Unit's career high is 14 or 15,
and Pedro also 14 or 15 ...

A Fat Toad ?
I guess you don't know anything about Park, he's not fat. NOOOOO WAYYYYY
You probably mistook him for someone else - Hideke Irabu or Yoshi.
and Vanlentine personally thinks highly of Park and he like Yoshi ...
You know overseas players' life long dream is being a Major leaguer ...
If you wanna play overseas, you gotta finish the contract first,
and then some of them may be sold by their owner but some like Park choose his career of his own will, he's not sold by anybody ...
but Never say Park is a fat toad in front of him, he's a quite good side-kicker ...
I once saw him side-kicked an Angel's pitcher !!!!!

Speaking of kicking...it might of been in preseason, but did anyone see when Julian Tavarez jump-kicked that guy that charged the mound? It was so funny.

Anyway fat-toad Irabu wasn't that fat when he was in Japan,
don't you know he's real father is American ?
maybe he's the father of one of you guys, no one knows, it's a family secret ...
I know Bobby V once was a coach in Japan, so he must know about the culture there.
In some Asian countries, sometimes a fat toad means something good such as
a healthy adorable newborn baby or something like that ...

I don't think so. I don't know where he is originally from, but he went to high school in Florida.

That was a rather boring Home Run derby if you ask me. Chris "Gotta say the stupid nickname of every player when I talk about them" Bermen is a big turn off for me. Can't stand listening to that guy.
Anyway, Anyone else as suprised as I was at the standing O given to A-Rod?

HAHA...that's what Valentine get for making Al Lieber the only Cub pitcher in the staff. I think Leiber gave up those back to back homers in protest.

Yeah...the Derby was a little lacking. Sammy's pitchers were throwing junk!
