The ESPYs are tonight (9pm Eastern) live on ESPN. The Mavs are nominated for the following awards:
BEST MALE ATHLETE Jimmie Johnson, NASCAR Rafael Nadal, Tennis Dirk Nowitzki, NBA Aaron Rodgers NFL BEST TEAM Auburn Football Boston Bruins Dallas Mavericks Green Bay Packers San Francisco Giants Texas A&M Women's Basketball BEST COACH/MANAGER Jim Calhoun, Connecticut Basketball Rick Carlisle, Dallas Mavericks Gene Chizik, Auburn Football Mike McCarthy, Green Bay Packers Dom Starsia, Virginia Lacrosse BEST NBA PLAYER Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City LeBron James, Miami Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Derrick Rose, Chicago I know at least Dirk, Tyson, Cardinal, Terry, Matrix, and Barea will be in attendance. Others may be as well.

Kidd's there too. Him and Tyson had dinner Monday night in LA....at Mr. Chows.
Kidd's also headed for the Celebrity Golf Tourney in Tahoe, starting Thursday through Sunday. Versus has coverage of it Thursday-Friday and NBC has it Saturday and Sunday. |

Those two were pretty much expected, if you ask me.
Best team and athlete will be much tougher. Still hoping, though...the Mavs are clearly deserving. |

I thought they were just doing PTI picks, but I guess these are actual ESPYs.
So Dirk won best NBA player and Rick won best coach. That's 2/2 so far. Sweep incoming.
