Best was clearly Stojakovic. He stopped James from even shooting the ball 1 on 1 for a possession.

Might be nice to see this guy back again? He's open and could add some nice back court defensive minutes when we need to slow down a hot hand on the other side?

No. I liked DeShawn a lot, but he's done. Harris will be back soon, and he's a much better defender (and player) at this point in time. Ellington, too.

No lol. Not Cabdane.... just wondering if we could use a spot defender over Ellington? Not sure what Stevenson's situation is, but his numbers didn't dip last year.

I know it's useless to play armchair GM, but I really wish Corey Brewer was on this team. Ellington has never been an efficient player and is undersized, ideally he shouldn't play. Marion & Crowder are good defenders, but better suited to guard bigger players. We need someone big & quick enough to harass the Russell Westbrooks for a while.

Whuh? His 54.6% TS%/12.3 PER isn't good enough for you as a 10th man (perhaps soon to be 12th-13th man)?

Of course I don't mind him (or anyone) at the end of the bench. My point is it was wishful thinking (on my part) hoping he could earn minutes on this team and perhaps even start alongside Monta as a designated defender/shooter a la DeShawn. I, like the OP, would love to see this hypothetical wing defender come into the fold.

Are you being facetious or just cracked out?
Stojakovic played 26 minutes total for the 6 Finals games.
Stevenson played 103 minutes in those games.
Brendan Haywood is the only player that played less, 25 minutes.
You either have no idea what you're talking about, or you think RC is such a dolt that he sat his 2nd best defender nearly the entire series.

Seriously, we're bumping (needless) threads from January 2012 about a guy who hasn't played a lick of good basketball since our 2011 Finals run?
You people suck.

Are you trying to imply that this team wouldn't immediately be a favorite for the championship if we just signed Stevenson?

A little back court defensive specialist action would be nice...... Just went looking for anyone like that we could grab on a vet min.
