Looks like Miami is favored by 8. However, I actually have a good feeling about this. Dirk is due a good game as he's been shooting near his rookie career low average percentage and I just don't expect that to continue. I also think Blair will hit a double double tonight. It will boil down to Ellis. If he has a "have it all" night, we can mark a win.
On the flip, Ray Allen missed Tuesday's game and practice on Thursday with an illness so is questionable tonight.

Going to be tough. They are the #1 most efficient scoring team in the league (we're 5th). The Heat's main weaknesses so far have been defense (they are 24th in defense) and rebounding (27th)

I see the Mavs keeping it close, but towards the end of the 3rd and beyond, it gets away from them.
Its too early in the year. Miami is the best at capitalizing on turnovers and pushing the fast break. And well, we still give up the ball too much. Thats what tonight will come down to. Limiting TOs will give the mavs a chance.

I just hope the Mavs are no more than 10 points behind by end of the first 3 minutes of the 1st quarter....If they start off badly like they did against Houston, Miami won't let them get back into the game....

Anything can happen early in the season, like we've seen a lot so far... so hopefully we can steal this one. Dirk + Monta will have to drop 20 a piece

They just said on Mavericks Insider that there's trade rumors involving a Shawn Marion for Evan Turner trade with the 76ers...

Not bad. I see it cause Turner is a scorer. MCW is already leading philly in stats. Someone like Marion wont mind not scoring as much. But damn if their talking Evan Turner. Lets look into Greg Monroe or hell even Larry Sanders instead. I'm hearing Larry isn't adapting with the new coach up in Milwaukee.

Will be a tough game for Dalembert on defense. Also got his shot blocked twice already, but were good "shots".

Dalembert needs to watch his back. Literally.
Dirk shot both threes with no hesitation.

Have read about it a couple of times and also heard them often and I really have to say: despite being the two time defending champions the announcers are really fair. Seriously. Not being arrogant, really giving credit to the opposing players. Nice.

That's what he needs to do. Brillant execution on all three attempts.

No Ray Allen for the Heat tonight. Hopefully the Mavs can crank it up when Wade and/or LeBron sit.

Would be nice if the Mavs could turn it over a few more times.

Turnovers are killing the Mavs. And the Heat love turnovers for their fastbreak opportunities. Taking care of the ball is so important against Miami.

Blair had the guy wide open in the corner. He should have passed him the ball.

Since they have no Ray Allen.... the Mavs ought to zone the hell out of them. Sure Battier can hit 3s but he is so streaky. He goes through stretches where he hits nothing. And beside him they have Bosh and Chalmers. And both of them are not consistent either.

No Dirk no offense. Nothing has changed.
Ellis is great, but without Dirk one can stop him.

Blair needs to see the open man in the corner. Missed it already twice.

Blair missed him once completely open in the corner.
