When the initial wave of free-agent signings around the NBA subsides, it appears likely the Sixers will attempt to re-sign veteran center/power forward Derrick Coleman, probably to a 2-year contract worth in the neighborhood of $6 million. They have expressed some interest in Seattle free-agent center Elden Campbell, who turns 35 next week, and have their average salary exception (about $4.9 million as a maximum starting salary), but again could be limited by luxury-tax considerations.
