I've had a dark view of the Mavs since before their championship run. The good guys were getting old (Dirk, Marion, Terry, Kidd) and we had no young guys with any skill. In the last three years, all we had for youth was Roddy, who has been frustratingly inconsistent and injury-plagued.
For the first time since 2008, we have a lot of guys that have huge ceilings and a ton of youth. Roddy (24) Collison (25) Crowder (22) Cunningham (21) James (27) Mayo (25) Wright (25) That's a lot of young guys. If even two of those explode this season, this team may be very good, and I'm excited about the direction of this team. |
