what is different about the D/St category from just the usual Defense (D) category we have on Yahoo?

Ok, unless somebody comes up with a better idea that a majority of folks agree with in the next day or so, I'll stick with the most workable of our unfortunately imperfect possible draft times and keep it at:

Points Allowed 28-34 points (-1)
Points Allowed 35+ points (-4)
ESPN league D/ST settings

You can change the first part of your name too...so it does not say "Team"
Just fill in the "City Name"..
If we draft saturday...
Would we miss all of week 1?
or just know the result of Thursday's game?

I'd wondered about that. I'm perfectly willing to let Thursdays scores count.

Yeah I don't think anyone's going to take captain dumb face really high if he has a great game on Thursday.

I can draft anytime. I prefer late Wednesday if possible or even Thursday early morning. I just would like to get the draft in before the first game, so we can score the first week.

This is just a reminder for all concerned posters that the fantasy draft for our ESPN keeper league is now just about 4 1/2 hours away (2:30 PM CST). Good luck ...

there is a "matchup" and then "Box score" and then "projections"...it is acutally pretty cool..it updates during the game..like when the time in the game gets lower and lower..and nothing happens to the player..projection falls.
and ESPN = free up to second points...unlike yahoo where you have to pay after 1st week.

It's not letting me change that setting just yet, but I think that is probably because our draft just ended. It will be changed today, and if there are any problems with that change I will email the ESPN folks about it, and hopefully get it fixed before tip-off time tomorrow...

I screwed up my team by forgetting to draft a 2nd qb, I got Peyton but after that I'm stuck with Jason Campbell.
What was nikeball saying about having to pay for this? I thought this was free?\
How do you check what place you are projected to get?

It is free.
For Yahoo..you have to pay for "up to the minute stats"...but ESPN is much better.

The league is free, MWHR. Some folks expressed a desire to make this a money league to make it more interesting, but as I said in the chat, as commissioner of this league, I wouldn't even try to contemplate changing the fellas into a money league unless every manager expressly demanded such a change. As for next year... The two cents that I would throw on the pile is that starting a seperate, low-stakes money league with old-timey D-M fantasy veterans might not be a bad thing to do, and would be very interesting and competitive (say, with a stake of $20-50 per manager), but again, the formation of such a thing would be dependent upon having enough old-timey Mavs fans wanting to throw $20+ at a league...
Here though, the stakes are all bragging rights and perhaps promises to give rep, only, and they will stay that way unless absolutely EVERYONE wants to change that...

ESPN may be the way to go in the future with year to year leagues, because they are enabling so many nice, free options in their fantasy games... But their fantasy BBall format has in my opinion, historically sucked, and as a minor personal point, I'd say that it would be darned regrettable for me to leave behind all of my old Yahoo championship trophies if we D-M.comers ever started having all of our D-M fantasy games over at ESPN ...
