I'm curious about the mid-level 4.5 million exception I keep hearing about. A few questions.

- Can it only be used on one player or can you bid on as many players as you want a pay up to 4.5 mil?
- Can the 4.5 mil be used for two players? One for 2.0 mil another for 2.5 for example.
- Every team gets one, right?
- Where can I find out which teams can/cannot offer more than the 4.5 mil exception..

Thanks o' wizards of the nba bargaining agreement...

Every team that's OVER the salary cap gets a yearly exception based on the average salary in the NBA. That exception can be split.

Because it's based on the "mid-level" of NBA salaries. There is a small exception (about $1.5 million) that teams can use as well - but I think they only get to use it every other year.

Doesn't it have to do with the middle average of the average salary? Hence Mid-level. The other exception is the $1 mil. It can be split, but you only get it every other year right?
