TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta and Toronto being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta and Toronto had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

gimme some input. This gives Dallas 2 big men and 2 great perimeter defenders. And everyone else is getting what theyve been talking about trading for

Despite the chance to get rid of Best I just don't like this trade. We give too much and get too little. No.

No. There's not a single player we'd be receiving who's in AJ's class, and the big men we'd get are not appreciably better than what will be available in free agency this offseason.

I like the notion of the trade, but giving away Najera and Jamison may be too much to give away for an aging Ratliff and Williams. Jackson would be a good pickup but Josh Howard has a chance of being better than Jackson.

Overall, this trade gives us defense and toughness down low but may hurt the club in the long run

We cannot trade Travies Best as far as I know since we signed him to a 1-year deal / vet minimum. Those are - as far as I know - not eligible to be traded.

In addition - thi sis a horrible trade talentwise for the Mavs.
