Would Portland think about dealing Randolph now? And if so...
Would you do this?
Dallas trades: PG Tony Delk (9.0 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 0.8 apg in 21.0 minutes)
SF Antawn Jamison (13.7 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.3 apg in 28.4 minutes)
Dallas receives: C Vladimir Stepania (2.4 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.7 apg in 10.4 minutes)
PF Zach Randolph (20.7 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 2.7 apg in 38.7 minutes)
PG Damon Stoudamire (13.1 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 6.1 apg in 36.7 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +13.5 ppg, +8.5 rpg, and +7.4 apg.
Portland trades: C Vladimir Stepania (2.4 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.7 apg in 10.4 minutes)
PF Zach Randolph (20.7 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 2.7 apg in 38.7 minutes)
PG Damon Stoudamire (13.1 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 6.1 apg in 36.7 minutes)
Portland receives: PG Tony Delk (9.0 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 0.8 apg in 12 games)
SF Antawn Jamison (13.7 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.3 apg in 17 games)
Change in team outlook: -13.5 ppg, -8.5 rpg, and -7.4 apg.
Portland would theoretically do it to dump a terrible contract in Stoudamire and a possible problem in Randolph and to acquire a young star to build around. (I'm stretching a bit, but it's at least feasible.)
Dallas does it to improve the overall talent of the team and to add bulk inside.
New Dallas roster/rotation:
Randolph - Bradley - Stepania
Nowitzki - Najera - Fortson
Walker - Howard
Finley - Daniels
Nash - Stoudamire - Best
Dallas would be pretty stout across the frontline with that unit, plus you have a top notch post player on the rise in Randolph.
Oh well, it'll never happen, but gotta love speculating.

I'd drive up and pick them up myself, but Portland isn't stupid. John Nash didn't fall off the turnip truck. He would never allow anything remotely close to this to happen.

Portland is not going to trade Randolph. IN today's sad state of professional sports a DUI is nothing. He would have to beat or kill someone to tarnish his image and make himself tradeable.
Portland would MAYBE do this trade with Rasheed, but not randolph.

You're both right, but I posted this knowing that was probably the case.

Here's the Wallace trade scenario that makes some sense...
Dallas trades: SF Antawn Jamison (13.7 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.3 apg in 28.4 minutes)
PF Danny Fortson (2.8 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 0.0 apg in 11.8 minutes)
Dallas receives: SF Rasheed Wallace (16.4 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 3.2 apg in 39.5 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -0.1 ppg, -3.9 rpg, and +1.9 apg.
Portland trades: SF Rasheed Wallace (16.4 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 3.2 apg in 39.5 minutes)
Portland receives: SF Antawn Jamison (13.7 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.3 apg in 17 games)
PF Danny Fortson (2.8 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 0.0 apg in 12 games)
Change in team outlook: +0.1 ppg, +3.9 rpg, and -1.9 apg.
Wallace - Bradley
Nowitzki - Najera
Walker - Howard
Finley - Daniels
Nash - Best - Delk
Yeah, you'd have to do that, I think...

Can't trade for Rasheed. Just can't. The guy is a true cancer and to him it is all about the money. I think you're right on point though if anyone is leaving it is Sheed. His contract is about to end and the Blazers don't want to resign him so he is leaving for sure. Taking that inconsideration he may be traded away in a steal. Randolph is the only one on that squad secured a job next year. .

Would you trust Nellie to play Wallace at the 5? Yeah, Wallace will play at the 3 point line most of the time so Nellie would go for that.

Of course Nellie could always come with a great defender at the 5 and still make it work. Let's see ....
... Travis Best plays pretty good D. He'll be our starting center.
